I just downloaded the update and went to play on a server and got the message that I was gamebanned. I have never hacked on my account so is this a false positive or something?

I just checked rust hack report and it had just banned me 21 minutes ago, so right as I tried joining a server? https://twitter.com/rusthackreport/status/741007986735390720?lang=en

Your gonna have to wait for someone from EAC to manually check your detection.

How long will that take?
How long will that take?
A few hours to a few days
also, they ban in waves, up to 3 months after the detection. so the time of your ban =/= the time of your detection.

I don't believe the 3 month wait to be correct, if that were the case I doubt the game would be alive at all, seeing as so many would be getting away with it. The longest case of cheaters that i've personally seen is on avg a week at best.
agreed, but the amount quoted by EAC has been 3 months. i think it's more so to provide a wide window to really make it unclear to scripters which cheat triggered the ban.

I wasn't playing rust 3 months ago, I just recently got back into it in May. And I don't think there is a 3 month wait because you can see many cheaters who get banned have like 2-15 account hours

Any answer?
Any answer?
You'll get your answer when it happens. There are a lot of appeals for EAC devs to manually go through, and they do have other tasks that demand their attention.
