• New use for Rockets in game

I thought that mortar would be a good use in game be that for raiding or for defense, it would be stationary weapon but more precise than a rocket launcher, you would be able to put it behind a window so you can shoot out of it for more protection, and you could put it in a field behind a rock or any cover or build yourself a window to shoot from. It could be made similar to rocket launcher heres a picture of a mortar if you want to know what it looks like
If the air burst feature of the current rocket were removed, you'd be able to use it as a mortar. It can be used that way at long ranges already.
rocket explode in mid air? damn. Well there could be more types of rockets, like that one you said would be the cheapest rusty inprecise one, and there coul be like ones that explode in mid air but shot bunch of small one right down on someones house, that one would be awesome for defence also because of the spread it would be easier to hit someone or few of people in the same time, ofc that kind of rocket would be more expensive
Fire a rocket straight up and it will explode in the air. Fire it at about a 60º angle or less and it will hit the ground and explode somewhat like a mortar.
Fire a rocket straight up and it will explode in the air. Fire it at about a 60º angle or less and it will hit the ground and explode somewhat like a mortar.
so if im to far it will explode before it reaches its target
so if im to far it will explode before it reaches its target
Well, not exactly. If fired at a land target, it will likely hit it or hit the ground and explode. It doesn't fire in a straight line. It arcs like any projectile does. It's only if fired up at a steep angle - the way you would need to if you were using it as a mortar against enemies at a closer range - that it will explode in the air.

Would be cool if you could find some wheels and put together something like the following pictures, though i would like to add more than one rocket launcher to them.

We need like a ww1 turrent
It's probably hitting the skybox with a higher inclination.
It's possible. Although I'm pretty sure some shots blew up in the air as they were coming down. I'll have to try it again when I get home from work to confirm that.
Just add a Mk-15 Barrack Buster:
Rockets seem to have a max range. Exceed the range and they explode. Probably to prevent people from firing rockets from extreme distances away from there targets, making it hard / impossible for the base owner to even spot / fire back at them.
