This area just doesn't feel the same. I'm aware it was the most recently adjusted biome and I like the hills, grass and extra vegetation but the lack of big open flat land with cacti (Fear and Loathing intro scene anyone?)
Currently the desert biome feels more like one big oasis. There's lots of trees, rivers, small bodies of water, etc. Keep some of the hills, but make them bigger around, and less sloped. More like sand dunes.
I feel like they should add sage brush and cacti all over the desert. That would make it a lot more like Nevada's Great Basin desert which is what I think they're going for.
