Item and Building Deterioration, Help needed.

Hi all,

Fairly new to Rust and have a few questions that I could not find the answers to by using the search function...which apparently you must use or you get banned.

1. How long does it take for structures to deteriorate?
2. If I have a massive Fortress with two entrances will opening either or once a day prevent deterioration? Provided all the foundations are attached, or does size matter for this?
3. A a server admin is there any option to turn it off?

Basically why I ask, is that we have decided to make an off spawn map structure we plan to use for events (PVP) and are wondering if it will deteriorate due to its size, even if we use the doors say once a day, any help is welcome, thanks.
