how many time does decaying house require? - Rust

how many time does decaying house require? and how is it preventable?

I think it is 5 days for the walls and stuff to decay (not pillars, foundations or floors). Doors of any type decay rather quickly, so log in often to repair them. You can't prevent decay unless you log in to reset the timer on your house.

To repair doors, put metal/wood into your hotbar/toolbelt and go up to a door and press the key for the right kind of material for your hotbar (ex. I have a metal door, so I put metal in weapon slot 1, go up to the door, and press 1 on the door). The chat will echo back information on door health if you successfully repair it.
