So i go to log in today and i get this message "Disconnected: your connection is banned". I'm guessing its for messing around with the unity engine and trying to exploit it (which i'm not saying i haven't been doing) The thing i'm bothered by is that aren't we meant to be trying to exploit the game to find out its bugs/exploits so it gets fixed? if nobody tried to abuse the engine nothing would be fixed is all i'm saying! Also it would be good if i could get a mod message just saying if this is a bug or i have genuinely been banned just so i can put the issue to rest and not try and fix it if it is a bug. Cheers, MTB
Well we're testing for bugs and are suppose to report them.. If you haven't reported any of the bugs you may of been banned for abusing them instead.. What help would that bring to the game?
I'v been talking about them in game but not been posting on the forums... Been too lazy to make a forum account until now! I just didn't know exploiting was ban worthy at this stage because at the end of the day all we're doing is testing.
Well if you get a second chance I advice you to never abuse the exploit / bug. I highly suggest after finding out a bug, get enough information about it, and report it here -> https://github.com/Facepunch/rust-issues/issues
Yeah I don't think i'l be getting a second chance i'm not sure if anyone with the capability of even unbanning me is really active on this forum. Would be good to get unbanned though because i was enjoying the hell out of the game! Also what exploiting for personal gain I did do went into making a map for the game which i'v uploaded and shared around!
I highly doubt bug exploits are bannable, else most of the Facepunch players would've been banned, it's either a false positive or you were using a program to modify the game at runtime.
Yeah i'm not too sure if it is a ban because half the time the message pops up as Disconnected: -127
