What about adding a buddy system? So they can open your doors, then it will be like a own menu, to add friend, remove friends, and maybe even add enemies so they get a red name or something, so you know who you wanna avoid if you forget who kills you/ Raids you... Add them as a enemy, What do you guys think? Good idea? Bad idea? Reply with your opinion!
Yup, I think this is a great idea. However, I think it will take a while before they implement something like this :)
I like the door-opening aspect, but I think you should still be able to hit eachother.
I myself think this is a brilliant idea ^^
Every game with a huge map needs a friendlist system to make things easier, i totally agree with the idea of your friends can open the doors of your house, but i think they should still be able to hit eachother to keep careful.
Yea that could work, someone mentioned having a set of keys but this sounds more applicable.
Maybe something simpler, like the option to lock/unlock your doors Lets say your entrance can be locked but interior doors that link between structures (common area) can be opened, allowing buddy/building-shearing players the freedom to move around.
That would be great because I have seen many people kill their own buddy because they had no idea who was who.
I like that idea! If you are making a house with a friend, it would make it alot easier, and the one that made the door, don't need to be online for the friend to go in and out.
Like it. Especially having a "white list" of people that can open your doors. Or maybe implement keys that you can copy and hand out to people you trust. The original being the only one that could be copied maybe?

Personally I like key system as it adds risk to handing out to friends. Also would be great if someone on friends list has a different color name tag to make identification easier.
So much ideas and threads already about this
I dont think the enemy system will be implemented as in garrys word from his blog "I want it to be the players choice" or something along those lines. He wants you to only know that its a player and know nothing about theyre history. He thinks a sort of banditry system like dayz would be bad for example what if someone was having there base raided killed everyone nearby and becomes a bandit. They are now going to be KOS'd by people for doing nothing but protecting theyre base.
Half the fun is not knowing if you are shooting at a friend, makes communication all that much more important
