While playing I had an idea. There are beer and tuna can food in the game. I thought it would be cool if once you ate those, you kept the cans. With the cans, x2 wood and some cloth, you could make an old fashion can perimeter alarm. Something you could place within earshot of your camp or base where someone or something would likely travel to tell you someone is coming. See image below for example. When struck, the cans clank together letting you know someone is moving about and can warn you ahead of time. Oh, and make them move like sleeping bags, so you can take them with you when you move camp. Hope to see this one day. [IMG]http://pthumbnails.5min.com/10357770/517888488_c_o.jpg[/IMG]

Original idea haha, I love it! There is a lot of zombie game out there, I think this is the kind of thing that could make rust very unique!
We had the same idea at the same time. Weird.
I do like this idea. You do listen for footsteps but if the cans have a further audible range it would be quite funny.

Anyway, this is an interesting idea... and using tuna and ouya bean cans isn't a bad idea. I usually just toss those on the ground. There definitely needs to be some sort of traps or detection.
I meant below sorry, weird synchronicity. I was thinking of those traps in Predator that launch the flares. Be cool at night time, scary.
Flare trap. Awesome! Charlie is on the wire, hit the claymores!
Could also add canned food, so then you would end up with the can. As well as being able to craft string with cloth.
