no but acting like a asshole makes people leave and it makes the rust community look really shit.
for example someone posts on rust forum they got vac banned
everybody starts hating and jumping to that they hack. The fact is there are false positives and you can easily be banned for other reasons for example scamming people or sharking ppl in tf2 can get you vac ban. getting your account hacked and sending out phishing links on tf2 or csgo or even rust can get you a vac ban. Just beening a asshole to steamrep mods can get you a vac ban seen how valve gave out their mods ability to ban people at will. My channel is about making profit on tf2 and there are many cases where people have been banned for things that are not hacked but yet it seems here everybody jumps to that they hack.

Most people here i assume are little kids who don't know much about the game and are willing to do anything to thrive in the game. Downloading hacks of youtube is one of the most likley things they would do because they die to someone who seems like their hacking. The rust community is getting really bad. For the record, I've been making a (semi-)decent effort to be [I]less[/I] of an asshole. Not that I expect that to change anyone's opinion about me, since people tend to decide they dislike someone just after reading a couple posts that they disagree with.
I admit that I'm snarky sometimes, but come on... if you can't handle a little bit of sass on the internet without QQ'ing then you might want to find a new way to entertain yourself or something. (Not saying you're one of these people, just saying)
You have a misunderstanding of how VAC works. It's a fully automated process, player reports only act as supporting evidence of an automated ban. A bunch of people could all spam a single player with cheat reports but VAC is not going to do a thing if there are no edited files/memory.
There have been a few cases of wrongful VAC bans in the past with other games, but they're very very few and far in-between and are always reversed super quickly.
I agree that the Rust community is pretty bad a lot of the time, I think that it's mostly due to the fact that the game naturally tends to attract that kind of player... that's just how it is. At least for now.

I totally agree with most of that stuff but steamrep you may know em you may not. Valve gave them the powers to give out trade bans vac bans at will as long as they have evidence to do so.

well as long as one of their mods or trusted mods in the community have seen it they are allowed to give out the bans no question asked.

The amount of bans that are lifted just send a msg to steam support saying you got banned and you don't know why and your young they lift your ban.
Steamrep can give out vac bans for when you scam/shark/phish/hijack someones account.

That was almost a decade ago. They don't unban people these days unless it's a false positive which is EXTREMELY rare and will happen in large amounts.
