This thread should help the new players of understanding the main types of servers and words in rust.
[B]1. Sleeper Server : [/B]When you log out, your body stays in the server which means other players can still kill you and take your stuff.
[B]2. Non-Sleeper Server : [/B]Opposite of sleeper. When you log out, your character disappears which assures you wont get killed.
[B]3. PvP Server : [/B]Player versus player. It means players can attack each other and doing so is generally not discouraged on such servers.
[B]4. PvE Server : [/B]Player versus environment. Players will be fighting against stuff server spawns (wolves, bears etc.)
[B]5. Friendly Server : [/B]This mostly means that you will not be raided or killed randomly.
[B]6. Official Server : [/B]Server is hosted in that particular country, in will not have admins and everyone will play fairly. These ones are recommended to play on.
[B]7. Community Server : [/B]This is created by a person, which means there are going to be admins etc. Servers can also be modified.
[B]8. Radtown - [/B]A walled-in town with high radiation levels, usually crawling with zombies.
[B]9. KOS - [/B]Kill On Sight. If someone issues a KOS on you and other people get in on it, you'd better be careful.
Console commands :
[B]F1 [/B][I](key press) [/I]: Enables or Disables console
[B]grass.on false : [/B]Turns off most grass...patches here and there--but pretty barren.
[B]censor.nudity false: [/B]Takes of other characters' trousers. Allows you to see everyone's dick again.

Don't forget some of the community-made terms and general abbreviations.

Also, for new players, it is generally discouraged to build upon map constructions like buildings and ruins. People may get angry at you, as I found out the hard way.
