hi guys , im on my notebook which has i7-3630QM @ 2,40Ghz GeForce GT 650M and 8GB Ram so the game shouldn't lag or anything... i updated the drivers and i doesnt help... what can i do?...
Well it is an Alpha so bugs like this could happen,But maybe it's because you are using a Mobile Graphics Card?Even through the notebook is far above the System Requirements for the Unity Engine it might have problems with Mobile Cards,I also think i saw a Thread about Invisible HUDs around here in the Rust Section but i can't find it at the moment.Do you might have Desktop System to try if it works there?
Cier, have you tried right clicking the browser and switching the graphics processor to your GPU? That worked for me for a while until something weird happened.
I am having the exact same issue with the MSI GT70 with an Nvidia GTX 675m. Keep defaulting to my intel card even if I disable it...
Bikeman did you disable it in Windows in the?if yes you could try to disable the Intel Card in the BIOS if the your BIOS has such an Option.
My Bios does not have such an option, sadly :(
I tried disabling it in device manager, which killed my second monitor. I started the game and somehow it was still using the intel chip. I am at a loss.
Sorry to hear this BikeMan, maybe you could try Uninstall your Intel Card and stop windows from reinstalling it(not sure if you can stop windows from Reinstalling it through)
About your Second Monitor is this you might be able to reenable it through windows and set it to use the GTX.Or since you use an Nvidia card im going to assume you have the "Nvidia Control Panel" on your system(not sure what its called since im a ATi/AMD User)and try enabling your Second Monitor there
And you can also try to clear your unity players cache just go to this link http://webplayer.unity3d.com/setup/ this will show your local cache and you can delete it and try running Rust again and see if this Helped
and here is the thread i was talking about http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1286780

Thank you!
Did something of this fixed your problem? and No problem i'm glad i could help somehow:)
Ceirnik/Bikeman etc.
To all those pointed to uninstall/Bios, many laptops (including my Alienware) have stupidly been setup with this rubbish Optimus software and the hardware FORCES the dedicated GFX to pass through the onboard Intel card through to the monitor.
You guys should use search, I posted a fix for this about 14 hours ago!!
It is likely you have dual video cards using the Optimus POS software. To ensure it uses your dedicated GFX for Unity/Firefox follow the steps in this thread. Presto the problem was solved for me :)

The other fix is to plug a monitor into the GFX HDMI plug which bypasses the onboard GFX.
Won't fix all issues but some people might be able to use these.
