Rust key wait, Buy ARMA for DayZ or wait on standalone?

I really want to experience the great things people are talking about with rust but the keys are all out already. I love the ideas of dayz and rust but am wondering when the keys are coming out or the standalone version of dayz. Should newcomers just wait some more or should we go buy ARMA to play dayz. I don't know if it is worth buying or waiting. Please help.
