How often are server wipes?

How often is the rust server wiped clean?
Are these a regular occurrence or scheduled or are they merely only when necessary?

So far from what I've seen it's only when necessary...
Before it was every 48 hours though.

Ok thanks for the replys, it must be slightly annoying if you have worked hard on making a base and its wiped every couple of days, but thankfully the game is fun enough to dive back into and indulge in some more action!
