After last update is it possible find crudeoil outside desert biome....I mean only on a sand surface? How it works the system of survey charge...i mean... it is random ...the map have already a specific point for resource...they change like a random system..or ? Thx for u're help.
I only ever found it in sand which makes people in north worse off needs to be fixed
I've been wondering this, been seeing conflicting information that there is no oil at all in snow biomes or there is some but it's extremely rare, some clarification would be nice. On top of that if there is no oil in a snow biome, why not? You can get HQM in the desert, why not oil in the snow? Makes no sense to me.
I believe you can find it, but its extremely rare. As for survey charges, I have often wondered myself so I know how to efficiently place them to look for resource [QUOTE=steelcryo;48633484]I've been wondering this, been seeing conflicting information that there is no oil at all in snow biomes or there is some but it's extremely rare, some clarification would be nice. As soon as you had an oil rig/quarry you had unlimited fuel production and thus unlimited HQM/stone/sulfur production.
Resources are biome/elevation based. Oil is in the sand only. HQM is everywhere that isn't sand. So a good tip for those who are struggling would be to establish your base on the edge of the desert, but in the grassy bit. You know those areas that are patchy grass and sand? There. My group has formed a massive compound on one of these borders with our four quarries and two jacks and we're killing it. Give it a go. Check this out to further understand the spread (don't interpret this data like catholics do the bible, AFAIK it's accurate, but hell, it could have errors).
