As the title says, I am wondering if the trello is being actively updated. I do realize that we just had some major holidays and all, but there has been no updates there for a while. The newest things done there were on the first, and that was just Garry moving some cards around. Has anything new update-wise been worked on and the trello hasn't been updated, or is something else going on? I was just wonding since I have been following the development rather closely and haven't seen anything new...

They're doing things. Some things. There was a bit of down-time during the holidays but they seem to be doing a bit of work now.

since garry moved some things around and archived them, i think they're preparing the next patch, but its mostly bug fixing and a few cosmetic things

I'm not impatient, you dipshit, read the fucking original post. I was just wondering, since there was nothing new since the 23rd, and on the first some cards were moved. I acknowledged that it was the holidays and I understand that, but yesterday was not a holiday and neither is today, I was wondering if they are just not updating, or if nothing has been done since then.

I think since the trello needs to be updated manually, things aren't going to get updated there everyday. I suspect they are updated on a need to basis, and well, work can take more than a day to complete.
Also, they just came back from some well deserved holidays, and it takes a few days to get everything flowing properly around the workplace I recon.
At least to me it seems pretty up to date.
This game lacks content updates.
Takes weeks to fix certain bugs/exploits (which in my eyes could be easily fixed within hours)
Let's take 7 days to die for an example.
In a few weeks, they went from Alpha V1 to Alpha V5.
In the meantime people have been developing mods for Rust which adds the features some players have been waiting for for months.

they are probably just getting things done and not updating us on it so that they can block it fast

You really can't compare development like that - different companies have different ethics for their development cycle, and also versions. For example, if I had a game, I could easily make one minor update and up the version just from that single update. Revisions mean nothing when comparing development stages - it's all at the discretion of the developers as to what the version is. I could have a game at V102.5 and not have as much content or bug fixes as a game in V1.5.
And like Unemphatic said - 7D2D may have more developers. There are very few people developing Rust - keep in mind it's an indy game. Not too sure about 7D2D (not familiar with it, I've never played it or looked into it)

Wouldn't be much more.
As you can see on Trello even the simplest things aren't getting done..
The 'DDoS' attack is no excuse to have things delayed, as only MuchDifferent invested time to fix the exploits.

Dogs climb ladders sometimes
Animals sometimes run in circles due to zombie ai improvements
Auger is rendered smaller in player’s hands
Multiplayer servers sometime don’t show up in server browser
Spanish, French and German translations are not done use English for now
Large structures falling from stability cause poor performance on lower end systems
Rocket Launcher does not have a degradation stat bar
Switching languages multiple times in a row can cause broken wording in continued game
Continue game screen titles not updating when re-entering.
The NAT punchthrough sometimes doesn’t work as it should for some users and usually results in server hosting connection issues. Use the disable nat option in the server config to work around this for now.

What is your frame of reference for how long things take during a development cycle other than being a player of another game? Are you a programmer? What makes you qualified to determine that anything can "be easily fixed within hours"?
As a programmer, let me tell you a bit on how things work. It is NOT easy to fix every bug.
The first thing you need to do is reproduce the issue. If the issue is being reported as intermittent, things get really hairy. You need to find out EXACTLY what is happening. Once you have that, you then need to isolate the faulty code. Then evaluate the issue. This step can take a while. The first thing you need to figure out is "what does this effect"? The changes will take several attempts. Each attempt means loading the game and then testing the issue. This can take several hours if the issue only occurs under special circumstances.
Each bug is different.

However, adding simple checks to the lootboxes and the looting through the walls can be prevented (not that I care if it'll get fixed).
I'm talking about content beeing added. Unity is a simple engine. New content/features can easily be added.
People have to make mods so we can add our own stuff in, just because the developers aren't releasing any content.

That is assuming the issue is boxes are being looted [B]through[/B] the walls. From what I have read that is just the assumption, not actually confirmed. All we know is boxes are being looted and doors still exist.

None of these things are an "easy" fix, and figuring out which one will be a big deal. And until more people come forward with how to reproduce issues, it will be difficult.

Again, where is your frame of reference? I haven't used the unity engine, so I don't know how much work it is to add content. But I can assure you it is not "easy". You have to code the desired behavior, test and retest. Then an artist has to make the graphix and meshes and they have to be put in the game and tested and retested. This process can take a while. You have to design things outside of the game before putting them in, and development of new features is no walk in the park.
