Seriously, how the fuck do you progress in this game?!?!?! Im really wondering, because so far this is what has happened to me: Spend 15 hours building a nice house, find out hackers live 3 minutes away and we get raided for everything (MULTIPLE times). So we move to the complete opposite side of the map, all is good for 2 days, then what happens? Hackers take everything we have when we are sleeping.... "LOL 'HACKERS' RITE LOSER L2PLAY". No, this isnt the first time ive ever played a fucking game, i know hackers when i see it. In the first instance they had aimbots (did some 180 snaps and headshotted all 3 of us in under 1 second) walls (In the complete dead of night, like when its so fucking dark you cant see 2 feet in front of you, me and me friend are hiding behind a shed like 200 meters away, he runs STRAIGHT at us and pops us both in the head) and teleportation, (guy TPs into our house for like 4 seconds, looks around, disappears, guy with the same name comes and raids us 10 minutes later). So we build our second house, the same shit happens and we lose another 15 hours of progress. How do any of you even progress in this game without getting fucked by hackers, im seriously wondering, all i see is a game dominated by hackers and dupers.
Work work work and work. Me and my buddy had 2 m4's and we got dropped so we had nothing. We came back jumped in a base got full inventories and raided another base and now we're stacked It's mostly luck and hard work :')
dont play on a server with hackers? seems pretty obvious to me... aimbots r some of the easier/less detectable (both not either or) hacks to make so its not surprising. recources r scares sense thee last patch. hopefully its something they fix soon. i used to be able to grab 1.5k wood in 15min solo. now ill be lucky to grab 800 in 30min. so making anything bigger than a 2x2 is next to imposable.
Well you should join smaller and more friendly community. It will be easyier for you. Try Haven.
Hackers my ass. Ever since it was added to Steam, I haven't encountered any hackers.
I play on US Cent 1 right now and people in the chat seem to say that US Cent 1 is horrible compared to other servers, anyone have any insight on this?
Hackers my ass. Ever since it was added to Steam, I haven't encountered any hackers.
Me and my friends briefly encountered a hacker about a week ago. A guy in full kev with charges to spare was trying to blow into this big metal structure and we (about five of us) jumped him figuring we could all get some good stuff. We emptied about 1,000 rounds into him from our M4's and he just ran away. We chased him to the ocean and he jumped in. About five minutes later the server admin got on asking where this guy was because he had gotten an email from VAC. TL;DR: There are still hackers out there, VAC works to ban them, but just like every game ever, new hacks come out every day. To OP: You should try finding a smaller server with active admins to play on. That will offer you the best chances of having a hacker free existence. However I would also recommend not building anywhere within five minutes of a road. Its better to have to run for a while to find resources than it is to be waking up dead everytime you log on. When I moved to where I build now (about five minutes past Hacker Valley on the wiki map), I haven't been killed offline yet.
Well if there are hackers, report them. As for everything else, I'd suggest having a base far, FAR away from other people. Of course supplies would hard to get to but if you have more than 1 person, (like 3 or more) you could easily have 2 guys on defense, and the rest foraging for supplies. Beware! Many people are setting up bases "far" away, so you might run into some unfriendly people that have their mind set onto raiding then retreating as far as possible as not to lose the loot.
Hackers my ass. Ever since it was added to Steam, I haven't encountered any hackers.
Then you have been very lucky or are in denial? Now I will agree there may not be hackers on every server...but there are still hackers!
What I recommend is that you find a server with few/no hackers if possible, and if you do see them, report them. Try to keep the servers clean of hackers so less people have this problem.
