Whenever I log into Rust, i get in fine. But, when i try to log onto a server, the game stops at "Loading GUI". It stops at "Loading Character" too. So i have to force quit. Ive tried re-downloading the game twice. Any help would be welcomed,

You can try to delete Unity Web Player and Run off of Direct X 9.0 / 11.0 or vise versa.

I tried it, still wont work. Any more help? I have a Mac os X
That's funny, because I have the exact same problem. I have a Mac OS X, too. But I don't know how to solve the problem. Maybe this is just a problem for mac users.
It looks pretty cool, work on the textures though.

Yea, Its quite annoying :( .
try "-force-opengl" in steam library -> rust. properties -> Set Launch Options. its worked to me
Nothings working. Seems like a common problem for Mac users. Its annoying because i only got 2 hours of gameplay after buying it and ive spent 4 hours trying to fix it.
