You seem to associate your bad experience with the entirety of the game. You get killed sometimes. You can't let that effect your judgement of the game as a whole.

It's a cruel game that is in alpha state. Get that notified.

yea, but then I kinda see no point in playing. I just would like them to fix the lag spikes and the cheating people. They say their servers have the anti cheat thing but how are people still cheating. They should make it where other players can't put things right on top of the things you have built

Not sure what to tell you beyond, yeah, this game is in alpha. Yes this game has hackers. Yes the servers occasionally have lag spikes. There is nothing anyone can do about these issues right now. I would avoid playing on pvp servers honestly because it seems to have gotten you pretty mad. That or come back when things have progressed a bit more from the development side.

Make sure your computer has enough to keep up with the game as well. 2. VAC anticheat isn't immediate, however VAC anticheat IS effective. VAC detects cheaters, makes a massive list of them, and then bans a lot of cheaters at once in a massive wave. This prevents cheat developers from confirming or denying whether or not their cheat is detectable. There was just a massive amount of cheaters banned yesterday. 3. This is griefing, and is a problem in any game where you can build things. However, the Rust team are often fixing massive building exploits. As what corey said, just like any other game like WoW, WarZ, ect. Their is an option to have their AC software to auto ban.. how ever most have it log to a file due to the risk of FALSE POSITIVES. Instead they would rather wait, review and wave rather then having a bunch of innocents banned because their pc was infected with some kind of malware or keylogger.

seriously though, why is an alpha game being sold for $20? Shouldn't it be more like Minecraft which raised the price every major update, like start at $10, then go to 15 then 20 for the final game?

I mean, if the final game costs 20 monies, you are just buying the game and getting access to the alpha. Minecraft did it one way, Kickstarter projects do it another way and Rust does it this way =P

It's basically the same thing as preordering a game, only it's even better.

Just because Minecraft started out cheap and gradually costed more to buy and became successful doesn't mean that that model is the defacto standard for Alpha access. Also, its most likely because I haven't seen their forums, but I find it funny how Dayz SA Alpha is $30 to buy into and there really aren't any complaints pricewise. Meanwhile apparently everyone would prefer that they got paid to play Rust with all the complaints I've seen. I don't fall into this group as while I have access to the game, I haven't installed it yet myself.
