I think it would be a good idea to limit the amounts of metal doors one can make.
IMO this game is not about building a twenty story building that nobody can ever get into because nobody has that much C4.
I've been raided myself and I've raided others and the most fun I've ever had in this game was when we raided a house that defended em self, they had 2 metal doors and we had to blow em up and get inside all the while they were shooting at us from their tower.
But running around a finding a house that is impenetrable and is in the middle of a resource area is just boring.
Not a single house is impenetrable , don't cry for nerfs on the forums because you can't raid properly.

Yes there is.
A house containing 20 metal doors is impenetrable and not even worth putting the effort in because the moment you actually get to where the people are/items are they have dropped everything on the ground and it has despawned or it contains nothing at all and you just wasted hours for nothing.
That is not fun.

looking through walls for loot rooms and blowing up the wall with 3 c4 is too hard for you i guess.

You clearly suck at the game and has not built anything larger then a 1x1 hut.
You look thru wall, see a metal door and continue looking thru the walls, metal doors everywhere. You build stairs to get higher on the building same shit there. All their shit is in the middle of the house and it would take you at least 15-20 C4s to get in there.
I guess you are pretty bad for making a shitty statement like that.

How is he bad because you're here bitching about limiting the amount of doors people should be able to build? If anyone's terrible here its you.
Whining like the other carebears.
Go join a PVE server if you don't like it.... otherwise make a shitload of c4 and stop crying on the forums.
it is not impenetrable if you can get in, it might take 100 C4 but if you get in it is not impenetrable.
you just need to take that risk if you think there is something worth of using all of your C4s.

incase you don't know how to look into tall bases and then raid them, because of the fact you have a brain that of a hamster, here's a quick guide.
Step 1: Build supplies such as pillars, foundations (usually one) and staircases. The amount of pillars/stairs will change dependent on how big the building is.
Step 2: Now this one may blow your mind, place down the foundation NEXT TO THEIR BASE! AMAZING RIGHT? Put pillars down and look around to find the loot room (You don't even need to do this, look around from the outside then build up to the suspected loot room)
Step 3: Place 3 C4, blow door
Step 4: Gear/Profit

Might as well, since its the same thing.
No PvP action on PvP servers because of houses like this. This is just minecraft with handguns.

Wow.. I thought I wrote my post entirely in English, but I must've been mistaken.. isn't this English?

Sure looks like it..weird.. maybe you just missed that part of my post.. very strange.

you must be on the wrong server then mate, every server i play on has people running around outside. Even yet if people are in their bases they're still easy as fuck to kill, sometimes they have windows which once again you can build up into and raid from there..
"Minecraft with handguns"

I think you miss my point too, plus you must be horrid at raiding bases.
hmmm make a limit on how much doors you can craft:NO
Making different classes like a builder, survivor, bandit etc etc : possible
EDIt and i mean with classes like you got 1 person thatgot the knowledge so he can build
and other classes like bandit or something they do more damage with guns or whatever
PeaCe
I must be bad then...
Just a question, where do I get 10000 sulfur from quickly? Cuz that's how much I would need to make 5000 gunpowders to craft 250 Explosives which I then can make 16 Explosive charges for.
Oh wait, i forgot i need to add 1250 sulfur to that since I need that for making explosives also.. so make that 11250 sulfur.
Please enlighten me I would really like to know.
"You can find them from zombies/air drops/crates"
True, but they are not that common.
This game is about survival, if someone feels they need 500,000 doors to survive, and have the materials to make that a reality, they should be able to. No reason to limit doors.

You're not meant to get everything in a few minutes. You work for your explosives over time, with a group it goes faster.
It takes a ridiculous amount of wood and metal to make a huge house designed so that you /have/ to go through every single door.

I've happened to have had lots of fun raiding a house with 40 doors my team had to get through. The owners had more than enough loot to make it worth it, if you are a loot whore that is. I was just happy to have a great time with the PVP of them trying to keep us out at every door.
P.S. We made it all the way through.

And when they notice you're trying to get in they will drop everything they have on the ground and make it despawn and all your work is for nothing and they're not even putting up a fight, GREAT FUN, right?

Nobody drops their stuff when they realise someone is blowing up one out of their 20 doors (they'd have to drop /everything/ at this point for their items to despawn by the time you reach them; and I don't even think this is soon enough tbh) and I'm willing to bet that 9 out of 10 people would try to defend their fully stocked house rather than immediately drop their shit and hope for it to despawn before you reach them.
Regardless, limiting the amount of metal doors someone can make is not the solution.

He doesn't seem to understand this.
I'd defend my shit before letting someone waltz in and take everything I have... maybe that's just me though right?

I think this is the Wrong Game for you.Everyone has the right to make his house safety. If you are unable to raid it than its your problem.
If you want a limit for Metal Doors, than they should add an limit of using C4.Cause its the same.
Rust is an PvP BASED Survival Game, not an pure PvP Game.
As i say,its not a Game for you.You are the first one i read who has problems to raid a house.I think its better for you to quit and play a Game like CS or BF.Their you would have more fun than in Rust
ITT: a bunch of kiddies who love the "this is a pvp game, DEAL WITH IT!!" sentiment, but can't stand the idea of someone actually breaking into the 50 story building they made when there was no competition on their server to actually make it difficult to build.
the "pvp game" sentiment only applies to them murdering others; they don't want others to have any hope of being able to cause them any harm.

The resonant sound of a 'mabro' at its finest.
Listen... the pvp is here for a reason sentiment is because it's true. If you can't handle it.. go away.
I don't care when people break my shit. It's part of the game. Roll with the punches or quit. End of story.
If people can't handle this, they shouldn't play games that involve pvp. You sound just like the other carebears crying.
personally limiting doors is absolutely terrible. pvp survival based as everyone likes to clout means just that. If building a mass amount of doors deters jackasses from taking your shit more power to them. If anything I believe they should increase the material costs to C4 considering its stupid easy to make in comparison to building metal doors.
[QUOTE=Wizards;43271425]Yes there is.

So, if you were trying to survive a zombie apocalypse in real life, you wouldn't try to make your shelter impenetrable because it isn't fun for people to raid your house?
Very logical.
You can have a metal door limit when there's also a C4 limit.
Hello,
its funny to read the different opinoins about the game.
But @ Tpoic:
Can you raid Fort Knox? No, you can't. Can you raid a bank in real? You can, but it's difficult, so is a house with 20 metal doors.^^
I don't play long, but i'm sure with enough people you can blow up 20 metal doors.
Players put a lot of resources and time into making that house.
Expect to put a lot of resources and time to take it down.
Simple.

Here is your fundamental logic flaw.. you said IMO.. first your opinion is not what the devs should base game changing elements over.. also they have never said this was a pvp raiding game now did they.. its survival... so if someone builds 2 many doors for you to want to attempt to break down then guess what they are surviving better then you are :) Don't assume this is a pvp game its not it is a survival game that allows pvp

As the game stands in its current state, having a butt-load of doors is the only option people have for any kind of decent defence. As the devs add more ways for us to secure our properties then you will see this trend start to fade.
For the record, these towers of doors are far from impenetrable, they just require more patience and more hands to craft enough explosives. I have taken a couple down with the help of my friends and the feeling as you walk away from one of those towers with every bit of loot is second to none xD
