I feel like it is annoying that people can build directly adjacent to what you have built, as defences are too easily countered.
I think raiding should take more planning, and defences should be stronger, so you can properly fortify your house, as people can block your home entrance, and can climb in the top of unfinished homes.
Some ideas:
Make it so people cannot attach foundations to other peoples foundations.
Make some defences stronger
Fix hackers! ( :P )
Thank you!
1. There are ways to build structures that can't easily be griefed. But your suggestion is impractical IMHO.

2. Yes I agree and ultimately it's up to you to build a good base with the mechanics available.
3. Yes, they are aware of this and are working on it.
build a base then put gateways all around and they cant build. barely & they take 4-6 C4 to destroy
What annoys the piss out of me is when people come along and build a bunch of spike walls in front of my door.
The other day I was just starting off and I didn't have any explosives or anything - all I had was my trusty M4 and a bit of armor, food, ammunition and a basic shelter. I open my door. To my surprise, I had at least 5-6 barricades surrounding it. I yelled at my screen.
that's what you call TrollinG! lol
There has been mentions of ownership in previous development plans so I would assume that it is most likely being looked at for future.
As it stands I think the higher priority stuff like hacks and exploits is higher on the agenda. They must be noticing a fall off in player population due to hacks.

Ah yeah, Spike Walls are hard.. They hurt a lot less if you can manage to attack them from the sides (ends), though. This is also another reason to have a backup sleeping bag somewhere outside your base (in addition to a couple inside).

You don't need explosives for barricades - 6-8 shots with a shotgun or probably somewhere between 20-40 hits with pickaxe/hatchet.

Thats if you can get into the right angle for the hits with the pickaxe. Otherwise it becomes quite painful and expensive medical wise to take them down.
I kind of like the griefing aspect of the game. However, I do feel that it would be nice if Facepunch could find a system that eliminates the use of using Stairs as a tool the grief/move up multiple floors. Kind of ruins the prospect or advantage of building multiple floors. Pretty much has made it so you'd be much better off building a base with a much larger diameter (Good luck finding a large enough flat spot), instead of having it multiple floors.
