• Rust Crashes A Few Minutes After Joining a Server (with generic crash message)
    8 replies, posted
PC Specs: Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 (Gigabyte G1 Gaming edition) [stock clocks] Intel i5-2320 @ 3.1 GHz 8GB RAM Windows 7 64-bit Running Rust at 1920x1080, 60-80 FPS Max settings, Parallax mapping and Sharpen disabled. Ever since update 94(?), Rust within 3-4 minutes of waking up on a server. I am returned to the Windows desktop, and get a generic crash message telling me to send the error report to the dev's (which rust does the next time I load it up). I've tried tweaking various graphical settings, underclocking my GPU, rolling back/updating Nvidia drivers, all the usual stuff, but nothing I do seems to make any difference. Any ideas?
What is your steamid?

i am having the same problem, hopefully this is fixed tonight
I am also crashing every time I try to play, although slightly different. I get to the main menu fine, then seem to crash about 10 seconds later.
I have had this problem for months... would be nice to play a game i paid for
Update: I can still perform actions ingame for a 30 seconds or so after the screen goes black, ie I can hear my footsteps when pressing the wsad keys and can use my weapons etc. untill the crash message appears. Last nights update (96) has not fixed the issue. [editline]5th February 2016[/editline] Fixed. Turns out one of the RAM channels on my mobo is faulty. Removing the DIMM from the offending channel has solved the problem. Now I only have the problem of running Rust (and everything else) on 4GB of RAM... lol
Having same issues. get in game and it freezes within 5 minutes. sometimes as soon as i open chat or inventory it freezes. Had this problem when they did first update with the new unity. Hope it's fixed soon so I don't fall too far behind in building and getting a base area staked out lol
has anyone get a fix for this?
