• Let us disable head bobbing and adjust fov

head bobbing should be optional in every game. please let the player decide whether to use it. i personally hate it. i also get dizzy after long gaming sessions. this should be fixable by the devs in only a couple of minutes. that it is even there in the first place makes me sick, please fix it. also adjustable fov, please. I recently posted about this on reddit and received positive feedback, there are a lot of people having problems with this. They might be a minority, but that doesn't mean it's not important. You can find it here: http://redd.it/1xltko I registered here as well to get more attention about this topic and try to make people aware.
Go play another game if this game makes you dizzy C4 makes me sick too, doesn't mean it should be optional !!
Go play another game if this game makes you dizzy C4 makes me sick too, doesn't mean it should be optional !!
are you really comparing an unrealistic, unnecessary gimmick that has no gameplay impact at all with an ingame item that maybe needs some balance adjustment? that's just stupid.
Motion sickness if FPS is common, and being able to adjust FOV and turn off head bobbing helps! Not as much as adding third person does though! :)
also agree, head bobbing make me want to play the game less, after a while it gets annoying. Let us at least make it lower.
Why not just remove recoil aswell, makes me sick too... seriously... if you get sick from staring at a screen, that means gaming is not for you.. next thing you know people will ask to remove muzzle flashes cuz it can kickstart epileptic attacks.

It's simple commands that should be accessible in the options, or at the very worst the console. Also that's no comparison what so ever because pretty much every game has an epileptic warning and I'm pretty sure epileptics probably stay away from flashy games. This is something simple that can be fixed. It's not a "deal with it" situation. Having a predilection to being made motion sick by certain things does not mean "gaming is not for you", it means you have an issue with motion sickness and nothing more. Fucking christ how daft can you get. Mirrors Edge caused plenty of motion sickness issues, those people had to stay away from that particular game, not games in general. That game had to be immersive to get across the gameplay it was trying to achieve; this game is not a parkour game. It should have the option to reduce sway for people with motion sickness. It's accessibility and it hardly effects gameplay for someone like you who just leaves it on.

FOV I'm fine with, especially on my 1440p monitor but the head bobble has to go. I don't bobble when I run in RL =p

The ingame sun makes my eyes tickle, i think it should be removed too. The grass ingame is very spacy and brings me in a state of trance when staring too long at it, imo it should be removed. Recoil gives me a headache, it should be removed. People bunnyhopping makes my tummy go wild, jumping should be disabled. I hear a lot of kids -16 on the ingame voicechat, they make me sick, i think kids & ingame communication should be removed. Plenty other games have these options, why wouldn't rust have them ??? See what i did there ? Pussies

Some people can actually play and enjoy videogames given some simple accessibility options that won't effect your gameplay in the slightest. Ingame sun = Doesn't effect accessibility Grass = Doesn't effect accessibility Recoil = Doesn't effect accessibility Bunnyhopping = Doesn't effect accessibility Why are you bitching if you're not going to use it? Why not give some people the chance who may have a slight disability to play the fucking game so they can enjoy it along with an asshole like you? This isn't a gameplay or a performance related aesthetic issue; it's 100% purely aesthetic. So why not just include the simple option of having a slider there for the people who actually need it?

If the FOV causes disorientation in some people, and the headbobbing does the same; does it not make the game inaccessible to these people? Therefore it is an accessibility issue. Yeah, people have shit wrong with them; doesn't mean you can't extend a hand to make your game a little more inclusive to people with non-fatal visual related disabilities, extending a hand in a way that won't effect the gameplay of someone not disabled like yourself Is someone a pussy for being colorblind if they want a colorblind option being a possibility? No they're just fucking colorblind. If literally all you have to say is "I disagree with this guy ergo he's a kid, remove him from the game; people with disabilities are pussies." You're not just a fuckin' idiot, you're a bloody retard. Even if I was younger than you, it's still pretty apparent I'm worlds more mature than you are.

Also, where is that warning for epileptic attacks for this game ? Why would you get the option to remove headbobbing and an epileptic person not for muzzle flashes ? Now he's on the swearing train, calling people retarded because they have a different opinion; says enough of you my (thinks he's an adult cuz he just grew pubes) friend !

People who suffer seizures tend to stay away from all videogames in the first place because they just might fucking kill them. People who get motion sickness aren't going to chance fucking dieing or waking up in an ER if they play a game, just a little nausea and a headache, so they'd like a chance to play games like any other normal person like you or me, which YOU are wanting to deny them. If you're not just shitposting to get a reaction, calling me a hypocrite for not wanting options for people who suffer seizures is just... hypocritical.

Again you're a hypocrite here Who are you to judge who can and can't game, dumbass (User was banned for this post ("flaming. quit being so rude already." - postal))
I'm an old fogee. I get a little motion sick. I wish they would just turn it down a little.
You know nothing kiddo, what you think is a whole lot different then reality. Again you're a hypocrite here
Ok bub, how about you tell me exactly where I'm wrong and start citing your sources; instead of relying on petty insults like "kiddo" because you have absolutely jack-shit to say. I'm not the judge on who can and can't play games, you're the only one here vouching for possibly restricting other people from playing it. You're just trying to move away from the topic because once again, you have absolutely nothing to actually say. Are you telling me seizures aren't dangerous? Ok RUST may not have a seizure warning, but practically every single game you have ever bought in the past 5-10 years for any console has had a seizure warning before it starts up. Anyone who suffers from serious seizures is told by their doctor to not play games. What the fuck are you getting at? I'm not saying literally everyone who has seizures has an inability to enjoy videogames, just that both conditions at their extreme do not equate to each other.

Or maybe it's not the doctor's job to tell you to tell developers to add a head bob option? Maybe it's the developers job in the first place to consider having a slider option in the menu to change the severity of the headbob effect. If they don't add one, people who get sick will move on; you're entirely right. But that's not exactly good business is it? It's good business to reach out a hand to those who could use a simple non-game-breaking tweak to fix all their problems.

FOV and head bob adjustments were acceptable in games since quake1 in 1996. I'm surprised there is even an argument about it.
Yea these threads continue to get derailed by flamers. Need more bans IMO. The OP had a very valid request. One that can be seen as an accessibility issue and it's a simple fix that could improve the game experience for many players. It's one of those things.. Does it effect another players gameplay by having the option? No it doesn't. You can either agree with the OP and request the option or you can simply move on with your life and stop wasting time flaming a thread that has nothing to do with you.
I personally believe it makes me feel more immersed but if you feel sick whilst playing then I'm sure a disable option wouldn't hurt.
I play with a fov of 100 anything less than 90 looks like complete shit I had to cheat engine borderlands just to fix the shitty fov. It's not even "Nauseating", it just is insanely unrealistic and hard to like, give a damn about.
Is there anyway to change the fov in rust w/o changing the dll file?
