Dear Survivors !
I really enjoy the Game and got already plenty of hours playtime and played after many Wipes.
But there is 1 big problem, and most of my mates agree, the progession of the game is too fast.
After 1 day of playing we get always all kind of blueprint's and a bunch of weapons + 15 or more charges.
So i got a few Idea's
1: Make Weapons a bit more harder to craft(i know there was already a change in ressource requirments)
2: Very Important: Dont let Weapons drop in crates. Really remove this like Kevlar Items, just let drop the Blueprint's.
3. Reduce the drop rate of Research Kit's and make them only 1 time use. This has also a strategy aspect (should i take M4 first or Kevlar Vest?)
Point 2 is very important in my Opinion there is a WAY to huge Weapon inflantion and this need drastically reduced, another part of this change you wont get huntet by a lucky guy with ja shotgun after 1 minute.
There need to be a point 4: regarding to Explosiv Charge but i didnt find so far a good Solution and i dont think it is a good way just increase always the requirments or just let them drop only in Airdrop's because then only the Strongest group will nearly get all Airdrops. Mabye you got a good idea?
So i think that's are my most important Point's
If you like it or Agree i would be happy about a agree :)

I'm sure after the alpha they will slow down progression. For now it kinda makes sense to quickly get players up geared up and out there fighting and breaking the game. Makes testing easier which is what alphas are all about.
If You're stupid enough to get killed wearing kevlar or stupid enough to have your loot in a place that can be raided, you don't deserve the items anyway.
Possible responses:
-What if I'm wearing full kevlar and I'm jumped by 5 dudes and get killed?
=your problem for 1. Going out alone. 2. Bringing high grade equipment to an unknown situation 3. They were smarter then you because they killed you with some sort of tactic, so by the described logic, they deserve it more then you do if they put the effort in to stage the attack, Whether their tactic be rushing you and loosing a guy or two in the process, or flanking you from 5 directions.
not only that but that would take away from the immersion if you kill a guy that has an M4 and you can't take it and use it to kill your newfound enemies. However, having blueprints from player drops makes sense for KEVLAR ARMOR since it would likely be shot up and useless from a dead dude then if it wasn't picked from a dead dude.
The whole problem with your ideas is they remove from immersion, and decimates the relation to scaled time, convenience and patience of the average internet user. I feel the devs WOULD have made the game run through a 1/1 scaled day, but since no one would play the game for 24 hours in one sitting, they had to scale it down to 1/24. I think they wanted to make the game take 3 game days to make a military grade assault rifle, but since it would bore the hell out of anyone to sit at a workbench for 3 hours waiting for an assault rifle that can easily be lost the moment you step from your home, they made it quicker and easier to build.
Also, who the hell wants to sit around beating people to death with rocks? No one. The game is designed to quickly move you from caveman to Fully decked mercenary so you aren't killed at the half way mark to getting high grade equipment and having to spend another 4 hours obtaining the basics. Like, if I spent hours figuring out how to build stuff and then another 4 hours actually building stuff- but because the progression rate would be so slow that I only know how to make an MP5, pistol, and wood walls and stuff, I wouldn't be too happy if a group of 2 guys who spent weeks learning how to make equipment designed SPECIFICALLY for killing guys who are halfway through learning eveyrthing, broke down my walls and killed me, it would be pretty frustrating having to spend another 6+ hours just to dream of getting to that point again. Too many people would get frustrated and leave. The point of video games is to be fun, but challenging. That's why you don't start with an M4 and kevlar, but also why it doesn't take hours to learn to craft an MP5.
Back to immersion. If I pull out a kit of screw drivers and wrenches, would it make sense that once I fix my car or figure out how a door works that the screw drivers and wrenches I used magically disappear? No, and that's the thing about research kits. It wouldn't make sense to use a wrench and hammer to find out how a gun operates and then you turn around and have to go "Hey! Where did my toolbox go?". While your suggestion makes sense, it just removes the immersion that the devs want in the game. I do agree with the drop rate on zombies for research kit and paper. I've never seen a dude walking down a street that didn't work in engineering or something holding a tool box decked out with everything I would need to learn the mechanics of an M4.
All in all, your idea is good but it takes far too much away from the immersion of the game, and would make the game far more frustrating for new players who have no idea what to do, compared to the guy who got bored on another server because he had so much crap no one would even try to fuck with him, so he moved and knew where to find an M4 and kevlar suits.

Adding onto a few points:
On the topic of my agreement to you on reducing the drop rate for research kits, I feel the inconsistency of seeing people who aren't mechanics running around with screw drivers and hammers on hand, would be more so in the middle of nowhere, not to mention if it's a remote location, and more so if they're a zombie.
To the topic of me saying "If you're stupid enough to get killed/raided" I'm not saying the player is stupid, I'm just saying the people attacking are smarter then said player for being prepared to attack.
The only real problem I have with your argument is the "stupid enough to have your loot in a place that can be raided". There is no place that CAN'T be raided. If you can get there, so can someone else.
If it took me ages to get a bunch of shit then I got raided it would probably put me off the game for awhile. I like the fast paced style of the game that if I get raided I can quickly re-build and reclaim the items I had before in a few hours and continue playing.
