How come I can carry 250 9mm bullets in one slot yet only 10 arrows in another?

As the title says, I think it's a bit weird that you can carry so many bullets yet arrows fill up half your inventory, is there a chance the amount of arrows you can stack up can be increased?
Thank you, and praise the mighty C4, may it rain for you from the skies.
arrows are larger then bullets
Well... I can take lot's of 6,36mm bullets in my pocket, but not a single arrow (think about it)...

Can you keep an M4 in your pocket too? Because that also takes a single slot.
I dont think we should be discussing game logic here, because there's none, we should be discussing balance.
Yeah you can't, but that only applies to a single item.
Bullet stash is always a lot more possible than arrows.
Even games that tend to go realistic usually let you go with only like 10 arrows and more than a hundred of bullets.
Also there's other thing 2 arrows will probably kill most guys (if you hit them), while it may take like 7 bullets or so to kill the same guy (and you probably waste 100 bullets in no time at all and may even not kill anyone).
ps: I prefer the way it is, it's more logical, even though guns and big items also only take one slot, it's better than just being able to take a gun with us and nothing more.

If I can hold 250 metal doors in one pocket then I should be able to hold more than 10 arrows.

As has been said, you can also carry 250 metal foundations in 1 slot, but that doesn't mean it make any sense.
10 Arrows per slot is unbalanced and needs to be buffed to like 20.
Arrows give more damage than all of the weapons that require the 9mm bullet.
If you had a quiver you could hold like 30 arrows.
I would like a craftable quiver, made of leather, needs to be researched.
Placing in in a slot in your backpack permanently (For the rest of your life) changes that single slot into a "quiver".
No items other than arrows can be placed in a quiver, but the quiver can hold 50 arrows.
So, you get far better space:arrow ratio, but you've essentially lost an invo spot until you die.
Great when you're starting out, less useful as you progress, but easy to fix, just go get eaten by a bear.

Sure but they're also the most terrible ranged weapon in the game against humans due to the low velocity and lack of aiming reticule.
It's pretty good against zombies but it's plain shit against human players.
