Well this is just a suggestion.
Iv'e been wondering what Rust would be like if there wasn't any research kits? I mean, if the only way to find weapons was in the rad zones? This way the game would be FAR more primitive, and the bow would be used [U][B]alot[/B][/U] more. Everyone have been talking about that the M4 and Shotgun should be removed because it's quite frankly a bit to OP. - Maybe they could add a replacement for this weapon, or just remove it?
- About other stuff such as metal houses, that would obviously still require a blueprint for it - And red and green medkits could also only be found in the rad zones. No blueprints either??

Nope, research kits are 100% needed.
This isn't supposed to be a caveman game, but it also isn't supposed to be extreme modern. They have put quite the burden on m4s/kevlar now, I think its definitely lowered the kevm4 spam.
im for the m4 and shot gun being find only .. or build only .. but not both.
honestly why are guns in already, seems like a huge jump.
we go from stones tools .. to metal tools .... too Kevlar and assult rifles trlololol

most things in the game are only place holders meaning they will not either be in the final build or that they wont have much of an impact
they are still guns, and they are still in the game.
they didn't have to put them in , they could have been busy making more tiers that focused on metallurgy . like actual metal armor , cross bows , farming , traps ...
stuff like that could have been worked on long before gun mechanics

If anything Kevlar should be removed. Oh yeah you can create some Kevlar very realistic indeed. Or at least it should be nerfed.

I guarantee this is a new players comment XD. Kevlar is fine, especially for what it takes to craft it now.

You're alpha testing and the developer wants shotgun and M4 to be in for testing purposes. Any researching on this forum and you would have found that Garry intends to create a much more elaborate weapon system.
For now, create your shotgun and M4 like everyone else and it's balanced.
Don't understand how everyone says that these guns are unfair or unbalanced.
MAKE YOUR OWN M4.
They're extremely common, you'll have a harder time getting ammo than the gun itself. Once you have one, guess what? You're suddenly on the same playing field. If you're still getting killed repeatedly then something else is the problem. You can't just wave a gun at the game and get everything you want in life.
the metal is the issue 25 metal is alot of rocks and alot of hours that you must stay alive for.
the kevlar is probably a place holder for like a plated armor item or something , they appear to be replacing assets slowly as seen by the fact that the 9mm will be replaced soonish.
