• When is too many plugins too much?

So I bought a server the other day, and I am trying to find a balance between vanilla and modded, as of right now I have only 3 plugins installed which are Stacks, Kit (auto kit) and death notes. I can't seem to find any justification for installing a lot of the plugins that are currently available, as IMO it takes away the essence of the game. Any advice that anyone can give me as there are mixed feeling in my server.
It's your server, and if you're going to run plugins, make it the server you and your regular players want it to be. If you want to stick to the vanilla experience with a few small quality-of-life adjustments here and there, great. If, like some people, you want to turn Rust into an open-field deathmatch where everyone spawns with a one-man-army loadout, load it up with all that shit. Ultimately, it's up to you and the regulars you consider worthwhile. I would suggest making sure you aren't unintentionally copycatting the plugin loadout of a huge number of servers (there are various Rust server list sites, first page of Google will have more than enough results for you I'm sure) because you don't want to just be yet another server with the same old thing. I'd personally recommend sticking close to vanilla so that you don't get too comfortable with a modified experience like a crutch, but as I said, it's up to you and making the server you want. A personal tip is that you might find Rusty, or another Rust rcon utility, useful. Because it doesn't modify the server and instead just attaches itself to rcon and automates/scripts sending commands to the server for you, if you run a vanilla (no mods) server with Rusty, it won't count as being in the modded tab. Obviously, if you're using a mod platform like Oxide or Pluton, into the modded tab it goes.
