So forgive me if I didn't get the memo, I read the change log.
I noticed today when logging on after 20 minutes one of my chest disappeared. I was like ok, maybe it was too glitched into the mountain. but then all my stashes were gone too... So I was getting confused, then I saw my other chest turn black... I thought to myself.. noooo.. chests can't be decaying can they? but when I tried repairing it, it had 200 hp left... it was less than 24 hours.. like wadafuqman. Is this really the case? Do chests/stashes/furnaces really decay? and that fast??

no.
a.) the stashes were in the most craziest spot. and since you cant see them unless you are like on top of them...
b.) the one chest disappeared while i was on, in my base.
c.) one did when we had our backs turned.
d.) one turned darker and darker in front of eyes
Mountains/rocks damage chests and destroy them.
I found this out by having a chest half in a rock
so basically items have to be on foundation to not decay?
