Rust - Finding the Fortune - Rust

[B]Finally made a new Rust video, a second raid, but with the base owners offline. Two problems: 1. You filmed most of this at night and didn't put any video effects for the viewers to see whats going on. 2. You used an exploit to get into this persons base =/.

I don't consider it any exploit, everybody knows about it and everybody will do the same if gotten the chance, so if u have a better idea to raid a base like that, let me know.

Yeah you're pretty much gonna get flamed for using the exploit to get into the base, but damn kudos to not falling to your death. It does not matter if you consider it an exploit. You should make sure what your server admin thinks before hand or all that hard work is for nothing, some of the other servers would ban you if you where caught doing that.

Even Frankie already did that :P Well actually i did die with my own C4 xd That's where i cut the video getting inside, server was lagging and i couldn't run, so was going forward and backward, BOOM.

Wouldn't really condemn the pillar and barricade climbing, in almost every instance it is possible to use stairs instead, just cheaper to use 1 pillar + barricade per floor than 4 pillars + stairs. The base though is insane, just the base itself would be hundreds of thousands of metal frags so the contents don't surprise me. Now whether that is real or admin spawned I'm couldn't tell you for sure... I have seen a legit metal base not much smaller than that, belongs to a clan at war with the server owner's clan (who have a somewhat smaller wooden base), so probably not spawned :P

sweet exploit bro. this is the essence of rust. players losing all of their hard earned loot by some guy using an exploit while they are offline.

What I wonder is how do people know what room to start on in such a large base, why did you choose that level and not another one during your trip up.

Quick question, this could be me just thinking you built this on a private server to make a "montage" out of... How did you notice the satchel under the bed before you crouched down and looked directly at it? Also curious to know what people would be doing with stacks upon stacks of ore with empty furnaces.

@mattzey Actually i dont know, I play there for about a week now. @MelGibson I can send you the server ip, it was just morning time, not many people were online, but usually hits 50 players. And about the bag under the bed, i already used to do the same exact thing but it is perfectly visible even before crouching, just pay attention under the bed and pause the video if needed.

God I wish people built towers as dumb as this person did on my server. Almost everyone that builds a tower that size on my server has an inner chamber you can't see through the cracks on. This makes it a total guessing game on which floor the loot is on. Also people have stopped storing there stuff near the top as its so typical and predictable. So its usually in the middle some where. At that point the return on the C4 is usually just not worth what you get. Unless it was a stash like this, however unless this server has been online for a long time with no wipe and this is a big group, otherwise there is no way in hell they accumulated that much stuff without admin help.

you placed a sleeping bag beside theirs, that's a good idea. BTW the barricade+ pillar is nasty thats why ppl tend to build pillars all the way up

Pillarcading is only bad when its rules on certain servers that you are not allowed to do it, which isn't many i wouldn't say its a exploit i would say its smart doing so unless gary himself says its a exploit i would not consider it to be exploit. why use 12 pillars and 5 stairs when u can use 5 pillars and 5 barricades or even less. nice video overall :D

Looks like you raided an "Admin tower of Power". Although you used the glitch to get in, it was still fun to watch.

it's an exploit that needs to be fixed what are people supposed to do build pillars all the way up?? to prevent raids like this. i hate this type of raid where there is no-one on to defend them selves but this is rust and thats the way of the game but also that /home expolit

Kinda curious and off-topic but OP. How do you get your performance ratings to appear on screen? Somewhat new to PC gaming.

I was the one who owned this tower. Nothing with the admin had to do with it. I built it purely myself before I even formed a group. The issue was the admin had Metal Ore priced fairly low. Instead of wasting time grinding metal node to metal node, I grinded animals and bought my ore. By the time I told the admin, I had already erected my tower. I had planned on re-enforcing the area where he breached and raising pillars all the way up, but I have frequent migraines and got one the night before the raid. I sort of expected it that night due to warnings I was getting in steam PM's from random people on the server, but I felt like total shit and was no mood to finish off the pillars and the last weak level of my base. The only shady thing was anomaly (admin), was TPing to the person raiding it and inside our base off and on the prior two days. However, There was a wipe after this and nothing shady has been going on like that for the most part. Good raid

Hey BlackCancer, nice to see you here, yea you're right server got wiped the day after, reason was my group, admin said "some people were already too OP on the server" and it had to be wiped lol I changed server anyway, different reason not related to the wipe. And thanks man. :)
