This is not a bug report.
Since the UI (personal inventory, item inventories) has been created via html, I've been experiencing great difficulties operating it. The UI is totally unresponsive, when moving items, they tend to jump back to their original slot, it is all slow and laggy, even when everything else in the game works smoothly. While this bug is known to the devs, it seems like a low priority issue (last time a possibility of switching to Unity UI in the long (!) run was mentioned).
On the contrary I consider this bug an essential problem - what is the point in optimizing everything else, if the gameplay is completely ruined by an issue with such an essential feature? Cooking meat or smelting becomes a virtual nightmare, since you succeed on placing/removing item on 6th try, and the same thing happens with looting. It is very frustrating.
Now why do I ask you guys? The low priority approach made me think that this might not be a common problem for other players. Please vote if the UI in your game sucks too, or if it is just me and my lame computer?
Doesn't suck, but I'd agree it needs some love.
Hm, yea wouldn't hurt for them to touch it up a bit. I have a feeling that if they did fix the ui, it isnt something likely to break and need to be seriously reworked or scrapped due to a new update.
Basically what I am saying here is, this would probably not be a waste of resources to fix at the moment.
yeah, occasionally get that. items moved disappear entirely until i try and place another item in that slot.
not gamebreaking, but irritating sure.

I suppose it depends on how strong computer one has. But it still seems ironic, that the UI needs a faster HW than the game itself. For me the issue is really essential, many times i wasn't even able to remove a piece of meat from the campfire at all, not to mention trying to put some wood in it. These UI troubles are basically the sole reason why I quit the game after several minutes every time. There is just no way to "bypass" a faulty interface.
wow seems we are not alone with this problem. 15 yes, 2 no :x
i am sure i read somewhere they are changing or thinking about changing the UI to the unity one.
Edit: it's on the mind map

Maybe a good idea if it's quicker than this UI
anyone with experiance with unityUI and html CoherentUI shed any light ?

Thanks for the info, but as I said - it is a low priority item and now I see also under "maybe". I hope more people will vote here (in fact I didn't expect such a huge percentage of users having the same trouble), the devs will notice the thread any hopefully change the priority of this issue.
I find dragging items easy if you turn off the campfire or furnace first

Whelp, nevermind what I said then. Fixing the current implementation of UI might very well be a waste of time.

It is not just that. It is also moving items within your inventory, looting etc ...
