After the latest update my character turned all white and sky colorful and glitchy.
Below is the screenshot:

I am running the game with "-force-opengl" launch options as without it my game crashes while loading. I also tried "-force-opengl -force-d3d9" but it made no difference.
Here are the contents of error.txt (http://pastebin.com/2cvTjS8T) and output_log.txt (http://pastebin.com/zVc09tGz) that I get without "-force-opengl" launch option
Thanks
im also having the same problem have been trying anything i can to fix it updated graphics driver, i also have to use -force-opengl for the game to run, some things i have tryed are -force-feature-levels-9-1 through 11-3 and none seem to help also did the switch to the dev version any help would be great

bump becuase i still cant figure out how to fix it now its gotta worse to the point where if i go out at night i can see everything the ground is all red and the sky is solid black after i change a video option to forced on texture filtering

full uninstall reinstall didnt fix the problem
Yup, tried re-install but the issue persists.
i've tryed everything i can think of just going to have to wait for another patch or someone else figuring something else
Me too...
Maybe we should post what graphics card we are using to help devs out.
I am using Nvidia 360M
I'm having the same issue..running on 32bit with a geforce GTS 450....thank you for helping us:-)
My friend got same problem.
PC SPEC:
NVIDIA GeForce GT 630
WIN7 X86
So the issue seems to be with Nvidia cards.
That's actually kind of cool. Imagine if the sky just looked like that all the time in Rust.
btw if you change texture filtering to disable the white screen vanishes and turns into black...still crappy but the black sky i find not so irritating:-)
bump
im also on nvidia so maybe it does have something to do with this type of card
Can anyone having this issue with Nvidia or any GPU post what OS they are running and whether its 32 or 64 bit?
i guess OS is operation system? im using windows 7 and 32 bit...
also windows 7 32bit would be nice if an admin or something would come check out this post and give some help...
Yup, problem is with 32 bit. I switched to 64 and its running perfect. I think its because 32 bit OS can utilize less memory that a 64 bit OS. You need to either upgrade to 64 bit or wait until they further optimize the game.
Yeah I have 32 bits... I hope Garry helps us
2x GeForce GTX Titan, not having any issues. Windows 8 64 Bit 16 Gigs RAM, i7 hexacore 3.4 GHz

Are you using the -force-opengl launch option? Because that's what OP's doing. If OP tries to run Rust without forcing OpenGL, he runs out of memory because he's only got 3GB of RAM and a 32-bit OS. If you're not forcing OpenGL, you will not have this problem.

Yeah, I am
Hello, Im Japanese player.
I have some idea for 32-bit OS user.
If you have 4GB+ Memory, Please try "3GB Switch"
and without "-force-opengl" launch options.
3GB Switch is to be able to increase the memory used by the application.
What is "3GB Switch"
