HFBServers.com - No Response, Server down, against what is offered, why Facepunch? - Rust

Hey Guys, we are a new Rust Community from Germany. We have a Server @ HFBServers.com Our Server is down since hours and we're loosing people. HFBServers.com offers 24/7/365 Support (stands on their Website) but you cant reach anyone. You select the Hosters Facepunch why do you select a Hoster which offers things they can't provide? There are much people having Probs with HFBServers.com as I saw now. I've hostet much Servers in the past and still got some root Servers. I would love to Host Rust for our Community on this Servers to have all in my Hands and not relying on people who dont care just pulling out your money. That's it what you support atm Facepunch, Thanks!

The question is: Why does HFBServer.com got the license to Host Servers??? They are not serious and i thought you can trust the selection of Facepunch. Why is this license not taken back??? We are a fast growing Community and really would like to setup our Own Servers. Also would give some Server Usage directly to Facepunch, but there is not really a chance for that. Otherwise Bad Hosters get licenses. Cant be! Great Game, but this is a no go!

Like the other guy said, there are other hosts. You can't blame Facepunch for it, they have nothing to do with servers getting DDoS'd. For that matter, even HFB doesn't have much it can do to protect against DDoS, at least nothing that wouldn't bankrupt themselves. Besides, HFB is like the bargain bin of the Rust server hosts... what did you expect?

I disagree, you can blame Facepunch. They let these GSPs offer their product, and they don't hold them to any standards on performance or customer support. The providers make the game look bad, Facepunch should care about that.

Who knows what FP's thoughts are on the issue. But that doesn't change the fact that most any server host isn't going to be able to afford DDoS protection at the level that they'll need in order to stop these attacks. Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy about it either, but considering the state of the game I doubt they're too concerned about the community servers that all have 3 people in them. :suicide:

Sorry to hear your troubles, but I use HFB, mainly because I didn't know better when I decided to run a server, lack of research on my part... But with that said, we have had %100 uptime in the last three weeks....

DDoS attacks are one thing, but terrible support is another. Unless the DDoS attacks are somehow knocking their support personnel offline too. :P It's also known that it was 'first come, first serve' for the majority of the server providers. If you were around October\November and asked to be a host, you got it.

Facepunch doesnt own HFB and im sure HFB didnt ask Facepunch for server hosting they just do the hosting and the owner does the rest. The DDOS also isnt Facepunch's fault they dont play for protection cause they are not envolved with HFB. Also HFB is a horrid hoster just use something else.

Guys you're missing my Point. Nobody can do anything against DDoS. The thing is HFB Server offers a 24/7/365 Support! That they offer in their Contract. My Ticket is now 3 Hours old and i got no reply. So im paying for something, that i dont get. I dont say anything against the DDOS. Im saying something against the Support that is offered (when you buy the server) and that you dont get later. Facepunch selects their GSPs, so why dont select on that is reliable and not one who dont make the things true he is marketing??? @Danifer: Every GSP that is Hosting RUST is officially selected by Facepunch. You dont get the Serverfiles without the betakey which FACEPUNCH is giving out for GSPs. So its a Hand selected List of GSPs. Inform yourself before you post such stuff. PS: Which GSP you can recommend (Hosting in Germany?)

As i said, im paying for 24/7/365 so 3 hours is not acceptable.

Don't expect Amazon level customer service, things take a bit longer. And trust me, a 3+ hour wait is NOT that bad.

all okay with hfb over here, any downtime recently has been me restarting due to mod updates. They can be slow to respond on tickets though (remember the time delay!)
