If they make a change which requires it, there will be a wipe.

Your comparison is invalid because WoW (or Diablo 3 or whatever) isn't in alpha.

This is so stupid, not because I have a lot of stuff, but because we are testing the game and if people "have too much stuff" there shouldn't be a wipe.

Alpha testing, you are fucking failing at it. At the very least, make it fucking feedback to the devs, explaining what you think could be done to improve the balance in the game (although I doubt they're caring about that so much as getting the engine solid right now, but I have no idea). Doing it this way makes you seem like the only reason you got a key is because you want to play Rust, screw actually helping [I]test[/I] it.

i believe they want the server to go as long as possible without a reset to find as many bugs as possible before a new build and such
