Just thought this would be a reasonable request due to the fact servers have a lot more players now and are usually full. Would be good to see a system like this implemented that kicked people who went afk for more than 20-30 Minutes. As it is really hard to get onto the servers as it stands right now due to to many people staying afk. This also will not kick people who have are crafting, due to so many people going afk while crafting.
Why would people go AFK on rust without a reason? If they go AFK, they would still be protecting their base (maybe with the help of a loud speaker). As lame as that is, they are technically still playing. It's not like AFKing gets you free resources or whatever.

But if you're not moving for 30 plus minutes, then you should be kicked to make room for people that are actually waiting to get into the server.. Also this should be an option for server owners, not mandatory, but I do believe the official servers should implement it for sure.
I craft lots of stuff and sometimes its past 30 mins and i go afk i rather not be kicked.

Also going AFK to protect your base really isn't a good reason either, as there is people who actually want to play the game.
Just dumb, cause that means people who are crafting a ton of things are gonna get kicked. Sorry, I'm not gonna sit in front of my computer when I have a craft timer for anything over 10 minutes AND there has been plenty of times I have had craft timers longer then 30 minutes; don't say get someone in your group to help you, cause I tend to craft after farming runs and I can't guarantee other people in my group will be on. Just learn to spam click the server you wanna join like EVERYONE ELSE!
Crafting would make it avoid kicking you, as almost everyone goes afk when crafting.
What if I'm on a gaming spree, pulling an 8 hour weekender, and I decide to run to the store to get some smokes, a pizza, and some beer? If I've already been on for 4 hours, and want to continue another 4 hours, getting kicked for being gone 31 minutes is not a good way to handle it.
Best way to handle it is to find your home somewhere that isn't full all the time. Yeah sure you may have a 1x1 with 20 wood and 50 metal fragments, but why would you bother fighting your way into a server by double clicking 10mins...
I go afk rather than loggin out because of freekin sleepers. if you are offline people can steal your inventory so I keep everything on my person and so when i do go afk i am not able to be killed and looted. (pve sever that is.)
