so a few days ago, i got a key, so i figured, if i could play this on my mac. when i opened the game, i found out that the game lagged like hell on fantastic grafics. even if i put it all the way down to the lowest it still had issues. no lag at all though, but the problem was that when i walk, the walk was delayed by around a second. i tryed the game with bootcamp, (windows on same computer) and there was even more lag, but no delay. and another thing, the shadows, on mac, is all directed by the characters camera. when on fantastic graphics. i think my lagg problems may be coused by java, or another program, not being allowed to use enough ram specs: Ram: 16 gb cpu: i7 quad 2.0 grahic: AMD radeon 6400M
If im not mistaken I've seen a thread where they said that macs are not supported, although the game runs errors will occur throughout if that statement was correct.
Your Mac isn't good enough. That graphics card isn't very good, and Rust, being extremely unoptimized is expected to be unplayable on those specs.
try using a new browser, firefox, update drivers etc
@ funq, i started out on chrome, and i remembered that chrome didnt support java that well, and it actually worked muuuuch better on others, even though it doest suport mac, unity does verry vell, and if the bugs are there, theres a slight chance that the developers would find something in the codes, in thoese areas that could be optimised, they cant say its for mac, becaus of apple politics,

grahic: AMD radeon 6400M found the problem
Doesn't sound like I'll be able to play rust...
Doesn't sound like I'll be able to play rust...
Your Mac is good, but the GPU needs an upgrade.
how can apple sell a i7 computer with a 6400M in it, hope your upgraded it and it was not factory...
how can apple sell a i7 computer with a 6400M in it, hope your upgraded it and it was not factory...
Well, I'm not an Apple hater, but there is a grain of truth behind the "hurr if you want to play games, don't buy a Mac" line. The actual gaming scene is gradually improving, but not all Apple machines are capable of doing fuck-all graphically despite their price tag.
Chrome and Firefox are the browsers that the Unity webplayer was optimized for.
then ill have to try firefox, since chrome works half as good as internet explorer for this game, :O [editline]27th July 2013[/editline]
Well, I'm not an Apple hater, but there is a grain of truth behind the "hurr if you want to play games, don't buy a Mac" line. is ATY RadeonX1600 any better?
