Like the title says I really want to use a sniper rifle in this game anyone agree?
In a game like this, I would prefer there not to be snipers. It just kind of ruins the experience. But that's just me.
I sense aimbots approaching.
That would suck, everyone at their towers with their snipers out.
Bolt-action rifles without scopes is more likely. People would just camp a sniper perch all day and wait for people to pick off for supplies.
Imagine the spawning area, it would be the equivalent to Duck Hunting or a shooting gallery where fresh spawns are the moving targets....

No... because people would just sit in their base sniping people from afar. If they added it in some way, they should just make it super expensive to create.

The reason snipers worked (I guess) in DayZ was the intense bullet drop, and the fact that the game's controls were so finicky it actually made it so you had to practice with the sniper a little to get used to everything. Range finder was also really helpful.
Rust has no bullet drop, they just have "range" which is the gun's effective range where the bullets still do damage. But it doesn't mean that people aren't aiming at the person. There's no gun sway, "CoD" type breathing system, or bullet drop to make sniping a hard enough challenge.
People already slap holos and lasers onto the M4s and that's enough to kill from a decent range. Imagine seeing across the whole field you're in and putting a bullet through someone's skull.
The sniping would most likely be the closest to Counter-Strike's sniping. Recoil is the only thing you have to worry about when aiming, otherwise the bullet goes where you aim.
No snipers please. Damm campers and cheaters going to ruin this. People even going be more scared of getting out of there house's.
We should be able to wield dildos as a melee weapon.

This.....wood + metal fragment = bow and arrows. And you can pick up and arrows (if you find them)
I did this last Tomb Raider only with Bow lol crap on guns bored of them.

once they add sniper players will just camp in the high towers and shot anyone they can. this will end up with no wanne coming out of there homes

A sniper in alpha and how the maps look right now, no? Simply because there are not enough trees, shrubs, nothing but open land, it'd be too easy just to sit in a tower and snipe. But if they were to add more hills, trees, high grass, bushes, either erratic or in a large mass (making a forest) then I'd say we should have a sniper. But how the maps are laid out right now, I could see people just camping and sniping.
Snipers? No.
Bows/Crossbows? Yes please, with an insane bullet/arrow drop.
I can't play DayZ because of damn snipers on hills 1km away, don't let it plauge rust as well. You'll also get all the little kiddies uploading 360 no-scope videos.
