Instead of having 2 different construction materials, why wouldn't it be possible to upgrade a wooden wall into a wall of metal? A wooden wall with a piece of metal in front of it ( and to attach it you'll need nails?)
The benefit of this is that you can keep your base as you want it and that you don't have to rebuild a new house to be safe.
What do you guys think of this?
there's a 'Rust Suggestion' sub-category homie.

Oh thanks alot, I didn't see that. Can an admin move this post to suggestions then?
Would be nice. Maybe not as effective as a house build of entire metal but more effective than a wooden house.
When looking at the metal wall in game, it looks more like a thin layer of metal .. So I would feel more safe with wood + metal .
What about changing metal walls with concrete? mash up rocks and mix it with water orso to make it.
I've heard my server admin complaining that the sheer number of buildings is causing lag problems in some areas, this would help alleviate it somewhat.
Well that's prob because of abandoned houses.. should decay completely
