Why the development team stop to work on the vehicles? tbh? the vehicles are the most Important more then the mods right now lol. I'm tried asf to walk around like an idiot four hours... please work on the cars / bags again!
Vehicles are going to REALLY fuck the game up when they come out. Other things are more imporant than cars, like a working animal AI, improvements to the bullet system, the transition from static radtowns to 'dungeons' (aka modular radtowns), and shit tons of other bug fixes.
Basically, you don't want to keep dumping more stuff onto an unstable foundation, which the game still very much is.

I don't saying that you gonna find a VEHICLE BP from a barrel or any thing like that didn't I?
I suggested that the rust Development will make vehicles to spawn /RARE AND ONLY/ at airdrops. Also, of corus that the car wouldn't get into the currect item of the airdrop right? So why don't the airdrops will throw a parts for the cars? I mean, you need to find 15-20 or 10 Idk parts of the car and you have to find some BP kit that allows you to connect them each other. I think they either need ot make chances like "30 percent of succsfull" and you can add only 100 fragments to prevent people reach to 100 precent. Cars wil be really hard to get and you'd have to find a lot of things for it which will take forever for you to build it.
In addition, I think if you can make C4's / Explosives / Guns. I'm sure you will be able to build cars don't you?

Well neither did I, so I'm not sure wtf you're talking about. You missed my point completely so I'm gonna let you have the rest of this thread to yourself. :thisthread:
The short answer that Thor-axe was trying to say:
There's way more important things than cars for the devs to work on.
They have hundreds of other things that need finishing, tweaking and finalizing before they work on something like cars. They will be on the very back burner right now.
Vehicles should be at the bottom of the devs priority list, there is so much brocken unfinished
crap in the game right now that they need to finish
i have to agree, we need some kind of transport system. it dont have to be cars, but why not tame horses and ride on them before i eat them?
I know there is some shit that need to get done before like optimazion and shit but still, we need a transport, I can't just walk like an idiot 30 minutes-... It's dump asf.
I can't just walk like an idiot 30 minutes-....
You're right, you can't. Because you can run from one end of the average map to the other in a little over 10 minutes.
Better to have a vehicle that can be driven on both of your map's two small, short roads and a few other flat areas, lets everyone know where you are, can be stolen/destroyed/crashed, and gets you from one place to another a few minutes quicker than running.
This sounds like one of those toys kids clamor for, play with for 5 minutes, then they rarely get used again.

Thats coming eventually
Am I the only one that doesn't want vehicles? Horses seem nice, though.
No your not the only one, I like the long trek. Vehicles will just make it easier for assholes to ruin a server faster

lol, did you not read the many replies before yours? Horses would be nice, a tank version of the heli would be cool.... just wiping out armed players. We don't really need vehicles. Makes h1z1 and dayz unbalanced and unfun for me.

Why do you complain about stuff that isn't even in the game yet? It's not like they gonna add batman tanks from arkham knight.
The thread was about wanting cars, I simply voiced my opinion

I'm just curious why do you think that vehicles gonna ruin the game? Because teams could get from A to B faster? Because they gonna run over fresh spawns?
Because they are relatively lazy now and won't walk for an hour to raid your base but with a vehicle they will be hitting every base every day

I know they can't cater the game towards me, but I'm a lone wolf player. I feel like vehicles are just another resource for large groups to gain wealth even faster.
I'm not opposed to it; I just don't prefer it.
Well, vehicles will be easy to shut down at least. Land Mines are great!
It depends on how fragile they make the vehicles. If you can shoot out tires the people with cars will whine and complain umtil they get armoured vehicles. I don't t see the vision behind this, we wake up on a Beach and a week later we have downtown Las Vegas, even God didn't work this fast
Because they are relatively lazy now and won't walk for an hour to raid your base but with a vehicle they will be hitting every base every day
You only have to adapt like you did when they added ladders. Build in spots that are harder to reach and not next to the road or on a flat field.
There is so much possibilities.
How will they behave offroad?
Will they lose condition?
How high is the consumption of fuel?
Will they require water to keep the engine cool?
Can you shoot the tires?
I don't mind so long as they are in keeping with Rust. They should be hard to make and very fragile, if we can start crafting Brinks trucks then it's a no from me
Horses make sense but cars I am still on the fence, and if they make it too easy to get across the map In minutes then the game will become a clan war simulator and all f us solos can find some other game to play
Well, vehicles will be easy to shut down at least. Land Mines are great!
If land mines could be buried it would be cool. I haven't played with them all that much, can you put anything over them?
I thought they were able to be disarmed and picked up though.
We don't need cars. Not yet... Horses will most likely be the first type of transport implemented, but even that is probably still a fair wait. We can't be riding horses that no clip through rocks and dart up a straight cliff face.
It's supposed to be a long trek from one side of the map to another... that makes zone control important, and provides more safety to distant houses. It's supposed to be tough to get to all or even most of the airdrops... it allows smaller local players to have a chance at collecting. You're supposed to have to go some distance to collect large amounts of resources, and it's supposed to require effort and involve danger... you get to pick your house location.
I don't know where this came from, this burning desire to have cars and planes and trains to traverse a small, rocky wilderness map with minimal roads/flat land and gameplay that relies upon measured separation. Somebody saw the Mad Max game and got it stuck in their brain? There are literally YEARS worth of things that ought to be developed and planned for before players zip around aimlessly in homemade dune buggy junkers. Motor scooters didn't do much for 7D2D, and that's on a neverending map of intersecting roads and gentle hill slopes.
Cars? Maybe later, 1-2 on the whole map with high resource costs like fuel and a pretty high chance to break on rough terrain etc. Also, map is small enough as it is right now, i don't see any need for a fast transportation system.
Electricity f.e. is WAY more important and i am literally waiting for it since early legacy... damn those campfires and lamps as "light system" in a base.
