• What do you want from Rust?

Lets all dream up our most hopeful situations we want to see in Rust. Post the ONE THING you look forward to more than anything else. It can be something already planned or something you make up that never gets made. Mine: I really wanna get to a point where I'm playing on a server full of regulars. Everyone has formed clans and there's even a 'major city/settlement' or two with constant activity. I like the idea of a functioning city in Rust where people co-exist and work for greater goods, like make the perfect raider defense, or constructing a building for metal production. Some people could hunt to keep the food supply up, some other people could focus on getting minerals, while even more focus on home defense or recon. Basically, I want to see big communities form and evolve against other communities in the same server. Maybe someday someone starts a war and each city has to come up with ways to fight the other while defending themselves. What do you imagine being the most epic moment you want in Rust ?
A ship full of raiding vikings on a boat are trying to take over a peaceful city. That and no bugs to be seen in sight. Dream game.
A hang glider made out of the foreskin of my enemies.
living like a hunter; getting meat with my bow, fishing, and sleeping in a tent by the river.
I'd like to see boats or rafts that can move containers (e.g. storage boxes) over the water. Remember this famous little map? [t]http://files.facepunch.com/buck2014/October/14/3583633.jpg[/t] Imagine establishing clan bases on coastline, either on the inner seas and lakes, or along the inlets/ocean, and developing trading routes. This would matter particularly if the different biomes have biome-specific resources. For example, if a clan had a base in the northeastern tip of the above map, that little spit of rock that isn't covered in snow, they might have a trade route with their two other bases further south down the coast, one around the point and inside the horseshoe inlet near the equator. Transporting materials between bases on a barge would be risky, since anyone can steal their barge if they kill everyone and get on-board. Player towns could benefit greatly from being built near shore to take advantage of trade routes over water (since land animals and other bases won't get in your way on the open water), but they'd also be at risk of raiding and piracy. For this to work, there'd probably need to be another type of boat that carries less storage and is more like Minecraft's wooden boat in terms of utility--just moving a player over water quicker than swimming, at the cost of needing to make the boat. There'd need to be at least a bit of cover on the barge and a limit to how far out onto the open ocean a barge can safely go, for balance. It's also a mechanic that'd probably get placed reasonably far down the to-do.
boobs
Latrines. Garbage. Cockroaches. Rats.
Server admins not to ban people because they are good. Legacy for example.
Proper optimization.
A hang glider made out of the foreskin of my enemies.
You could keep it in your pocket, then pull it out, rub it, and it would expand to full size.
I want random events, the cargo plane is awesome, but I'd love to see new thing like : - Helicopter, spawn randomly and focus the most well stuffed survivors or the huge construction and fight them, a kind of PVE event for the players with tons of stuff in order to "balance" thing. - Radiation event, maybe horde of mutants roaming the map. - Flood event ? Water raising, it will not destroy the house but people will have to go in the mountain to survive the event, create a kind of PVP event. - Volcano event if the server need to wipe, destroy everything but in an apocalyptic atmosphere.
Better guns and sighting. The are terribly inaccurate. Test the Thompson inside your base. Aim down sight and shoot 1 round. The bullet hole will be no where near where you're aiming.
While I said anything you post is fine, I did mean in terms of hypothetical ideas for the game. Not simple bug fixes that we all know will come. Some sweet ideas from other though.
Boats mm. Would have been fun. Think this is a game you can develop much .. Do not want it to be like the previous version .. a little c4 then poof. Think the game should cost so that the dev can get money to keep up with new things. Could be a big giant great game.
Think the game should cost so that the dev can get money to keep up with new things.
Um Facepunch Studios has plenty of money. Garry hasn't had to spend any of the money made by Rust, on Rust. Rust's development costs have been so far funded entirely from profits made from Garry's Mod. And, even though it only costs US $19.99, Rust has made over $30 million in profit. The devs don't have to worry about money. It's going to be a big game -- when it's ready.
1) Destructible Rope Bridges 2) To be able to tie/put my Torch to a pole, spear, pillar, head, torch mount etc 3) More poses/body options, sitting, diving, sun baking, smoking, military sign language etc 4) Swords, Shields, canons, catapults, etc 5) Custom items, eg, more camouflage options, clothing options, house hold items. 6) Flags and Signs(custom options, materials etc) 7) Rust on a planet rather than a Map with the ability to hold 10,000 players or more 8) Lighting options that don't lag the game. 9) To BURN shit down! 10) MORE building options, shapes, colors and textures.
1.More Rusted weapons like Rusted M4s or Glocks (they have to be cleaned and Maintained before being used. 2.More body armor and cosmetics like a Old ass prewar Plate carrier or press vest. 3. Very old Toyata hilux Turned Madmax truck. 4. better End game gear.

What do you imagine being the most epic moment you want in Rust ?
Hey bro, that is not telling about where rust should go, but where people should go. Also, there was and will be the server you imagined, it is called: rust factions, and it functioned so well, it got into the community blog. In my opinion, I also agree, I would like to make even a whole diplomacy in rust community. On the technical side, I would want to give life to our surroundings. Where danger is 50:50, shared between casual survival, and pvp. I want a the long dark-type difficult survival, where you can't always just walk through half the map naked, and also have intelligent AI. Current ones which just run at you are shameful compared to the ones you could work with in gmod. And at last but not least, make it STALKER-ish, you wont regret it, rust is based on it, and it would be great to have atleast a biome with that feeling.
We want legacy Rust with anti-cheating software. It would also be nice to have administrators on official Rust legacy servers.
I wand admins to monitor servers so cheaters get banned built a house 5 times lost it 5 times to cheaters !
How about a working game, Dev's that don't waste time on stupid shit ( Hey now you can smash skulls into more bone fragments so the pile will be bigger when you throw them on the ground ) A map system, has man suddenly lost the ability to write up maps, but can still make a machine gun?? Common sense things.
All the above plus basements :)

HIRE SOME MORE STAFF .. one weak update to the game once a week sucks ..use some of that 30 million in profit and kick this into high gear ..what's the hold up?
