I think to add fishing to the game would be something a lot of people would enjoy, plus it adds another way to get food. It adds more variety of animals and another level of survivalism. Fishing has always been successful in games.. Additional comments are appreciated.
+1, great suggestion!
I agree, and I think they should also add water as a survival necessity, like food.

This is a vast over generalization.
However, in a survival game like Rust it would make sense, plus it would likely make the world feel a bit more natural.
I'm sure this will happen eventually, but probably not until after they release more maps.
Fishing: You successfully fished a Raw Chicken Breast!
Get this on the todo list asap :D
j/k !!
Fishing could be a great resource .. all tho .. as radiated the area is, it should stick to the coastal areas ... and also ppl are very open and fragile targets at the time while standing with a fishing rod
Yeah, fishing creates all kinds of fun and new options. It could add another layer of depth to crafting, making types of poles, lures, etc. Or catching other types of wildlife to use as bait. Plus, better fishing holes create pvp opportunity. Never thought I would need an escort to watch my back while I fish lol.

I would wager that if they add fishing there will likely be one fishing pole and one lure (if any at all). We really don't need 6 different fishing poles and 50 lures for every different type of fish.
One fishing pole, maybe one lure/bait to help catch faster. Otherwise you'd be better off just buying a fishing game.
Have the ability to leave fishing rod there and scout area while watching the rod, the instant there is a pull we will have to go grab the rod. So we can watch our back when there isn't a bite.
Or the ability to throw a create a net that you could throw out there or something.
