Is my server the only server that has suddenly began lagging so bad its almost impossible to play? and lossing players like crazy we had 40+ servers online at almost all times now only 5-6 if we are lucky everyone just cries about the massive lag... anyone know what is going on
Yeah i went from getting 50 fps to not being able to pass 30
Haven't had any players complaining about lag after the update, no changes for myself either on my server.
Have you asked your server host whether they can see any issues with the server since the update?
Some of the official servers have had huge lag problems.

Client fps performance is completely divorced from server performance. Server performance is what this thread's about. You're in the wrong place.
Since the aforementioned update, I'm seeing periodic lag where everyone on the server seems to hiccup for a few seconds for no apparent reason. It can manifest itself in many way, but rubber banding is one of the symptoms.
There's also serious inventory lag. Whenever I open inventory, a container to loot, etc, it takes sometimes up to 2 seconds to open, and during that time, everything freezes.
I've also noticed a few times while chopping trees, I'll take 2-3 swings on the tree with my hatchet and not get anything. Then the wood comes flooding in all at once.
Yes, my server console spawn several
TimeWarning: itemcmd took 0.18 seconds (180ms)
TimeWarning: moveitem took 0.17 seconds (175ms)
TimeWarning: playerattack took 0.15 seconds (150ms)

I'll add "TimeWarning: AIHandler.Cycle took 0.20 seconds (199ms)"
I wonder if it is plugin related?

I wondered myself and took out all my plugins.. Issue still there, so no. It's actually directly proportional to the amount of colliders on the server and my assumption here is that it has to do with the new Decay system which obviously is a lot more intensive than the previous one on the server.
Funny enough though removing all animals did fix that message, but it came back once they spawned back. I don't think the animals themselves have anything to do with it, I'm guessing there is just some decay-related stuff lumped up in that AI call for some obscure reason.
Back to the OP's question, yes, the server AND client and both running like shit since last patch. The client has a massive memory leak (close to a gig per hour) and when it fills your memory, you start lagging bad. The server seems to have a similar issue, I don't know if it's a memory leak as I am on a shared host and do not have access to that info, but my server gets slower and slower as time goes. Main symptoms are delays opening doors and containers, chat, farming, shooting, etc. Pretty much everything becomes extra laggy.
The server.fps is still good, the pings are good, etc...nothing out of the ordinary except everyone lagging bad. A restart fixes it for another 12-36 hours and then it comes back. If I don't restart the server, it eventually autorestarts and does a rollback.
