hey guys just have a quick ? how do u buy this game? ive been trying to get it for a week or 2 now since ive heard about it a month or 2 ago and wanted to try it out but cant seem to find a way to buy it and most my friends that have it said just go to the website. ive read that its suppose to be on steam sometime soon but thats about all i could find, did i miss something? i really want this game.
PS: just found this in a tread. was one of the post about the game and getting it. i cant find it on steam anywhere...WHY!

No problem ;) keys now can only be bought for steam rust, we are currently working on rust for steam, no need to panic when you buy it on steam click enter code and put in the 6 digit code, goodluck and happy hunting -rust team
We're slowly crawling towards going live on Steam.
After all the keys have sold out on Sunday we won't be selling any more until the Steam version is live. So come Monday you won't be able to buy an Alpha key for Rust.
The actual 'live' date on Steam is still a bit floaty.. but right now we're aiming for the first half of December.. assuming we get no roadblocks and everything goes to plan.

ive been trying to get this game for awhile now and on the website it would never let me make an account for some reason, only for the forums...must be doing something wrong..o well to late now.

Because you buy the key first, [I]then[/I] create your account. In order to create an account (by the time the key auctions started) you needed a Rust key (6 digits). The reason you needed to create an account on the playrust website was to access the webplayer version of the game, which was the only option available at the time. Of course, once Rust stopped using the webplayer and started using Steam, signing up was far less important because buying Rust would get your actual Steam key emailed to you instead of a serial key to use to register on playrust.com. That's where you were going wrong.

jengah is not a member of the Rust team in any capacity and was basically making shit up there. Ignore what he said, it's completely bullshit and also completely wrong (Steam doesn't use 6-digit codes, they start at like 14 digits).
