Now, HFBServers makes you pay 20$ for "Advanced DDoS Protection"! - Rust

Wow! What a joke! Here's their last Twit: "Multiple DDoS Protected locations available now for only $20/month - Dallas, New York, Chicago, Los Angles, & France!" I checked on their website and now if you want to not be screwed up if the server get DDoS'ed, you have to pay the regular fees (starting at 20$/month for 50 slots, more if you want more slots), AND, of course, because no one wants their server to go down for x days because HFB don't really care about you, now one will have to double the base fees just to have this kind of "insurance". We've been down for 6 days because of a DDoS and they didn't even try to resolve the situation, and told us they couldn't access the datafiles. I know why now...

Then don't buy a server there.

Any provider who offers DDoS protection for $20 a month has no idea what they're doing. There is a reason mitigation host charge thousands of dollars each month for protection..

We are planning to move ASAP somewhere else with a GSP that will not let a server dies for 6 days and not try to resolve the situation. I just wanted to report that fact plus their new "policy"...
