Okay, so my PC is pretty old at this stage and due for an upgrade (Win XP with 4GB ram being the weak points, everything else is decent, on my third graphics card), but I still have yet to come across a game that I couldn't at least launch. Rust is the first game I have ever had an issue with since putting this machine together.
I got everything installed via Steam, but when I launch it, nothing happens. A check of my task manager shows a rust.exe process. Has anyone else experienced this?
I have deleted files and reinstalled, same thing happens.
Thanks,
WT

Windows XP only recognize 3GB of that 4GB ram you got. Your computer may be fine to run the game on lower settings but I highly recommend you to try it on Windows Vista/7/8 so you can be sure it's not from your OS.
You may also try to run the game on dev-live developer branch and use some start up settings...

Thanks for the reply. How would I go about doing this?
Window XP is getting old and there is some games that are not compatible with XP anymore. I recommend getting a new OS like 7 or 8 (DONT buy Vista its horrible!) You can buy one of those from 100-120$

Unless he try XP 64 bits which recognizes up to 8 I think.
