How do you tell if your a Gold member? - Rust

EDIT: I saw that keys are no longer being given out, on gold member forums, or public, now were waiting for it to be Buy able... I now know gold was removed due to people thinking they get Rust for buying Gold, and that i would have needed 2-5 years (I think i validate for that) and 2000+ posts ( i obviously dont for that!), but that was changed so you HAVE to pay for gold, then now its [B]fully removed(?)[/B] Rust looks fun btw! PS: i read some posts about stuff, and i see ALOT of the users are BANNED, are they actually banned? i also saw somthing aout a BAN page exsploit? is that something to worry about?or have i read it wrong? Gold membership is currently unavailable. It used to be purchasable, but garry removed that option because new users were being tricked into buying it, thinking they would be guaranteed a rust key. Right now there is no way to become a gold member.

Gold was once available automatically once you achieved two (or five) years and two thousand (or one thousand or five thousand) posts. Then it went to paid-only again a year or two ago. Thanks to the Rust idiots, Gold is now not available at all because idiot kids were buying Gold specifically and only for access to the Rust key giveaways Garry occasionally made to Gold Members. And, likely, at least a few of them started chargebacks against Garry in Paypal. Paypal and credit card companies don't like seeing lots of chargebacks and reversals and tend to punish merchants (read: Garry). So, right now, nobody can get Gold, and Gold will no longer help you get Rust keys.

The reason is clearly stated in your ban and generally comes from being uneducated/rude, not being descriptive in the thread title, trolling/meme replies, and just generally being new and stupid. There are many many members who come here and don't get banned because they don't feel that it's necessary to make pointless threads, or beg for keys which have been stated in at least 4 different places are no longer available to anyone. Internet etiquette is pretty much the same no matter what forum you go to, but here you get a 1-3 day ban instead of a warning. The ban IS your warning. It's simple to become active and accepted on FP even if you end up being not very popular. Posting this post is not a good start. I suggest that you read posts and don't reply for at least a few weeks before you start posting, just to get a feel of how things work here. It's kind of like if you were running a chess club at your school for years, and then the school newspaper did a story about it and the next day there were 300 strangers in the room yelling at the top of their lungs that they want to play checkers.
