What happens if you C4 the base of a user-made tower?

So I've been wondering, what happens if you explode the whole base of a 2+ floors building with C4? Does it come down entirely? Or it stays floating like in minecraft?

Anybody experienced something similar? As I play alone I couldn't build a big tower to try by myself yet.

It doesn't float since you cannot destroy pillars. So if you c4 the bottom of the tower , you will gain access to the bottom of the tower and nothing epic will happen as in like the whole thing comes down.

Otherwise no one would make towers..

Foundations / Ceilings and Pillars can't be destoyed with "Man-made tools" that means if you plant 100 C4 on 1 pillar at once, it will not be destroyed. So buildings can't collaps.

The only way it can be destroyed is with decay. over time the buildings will be gone.

Recently I've seen 1x1s floating in mid air, no pillars below, and what I think has happened is someone built a stairway alongside the target building to raid it, owner comes back and walls off the top section, adds a floor and a ceiling, this is only after the attack stairway has decayed a bit, building then decays and as the bottom stairs have less health points, they disappear, leaving the boxed section floating.
