First off, thanks for an awesome game.
I think it would be amazing to have a Compound Bow added to the arsenal.
Maybe it could require a hunting bow + metal + cloth + a couple HQM & like swinging a metal pick axe it could cause a slight loss of energy with each shot.
Additionally, would be great to have a 3rd tier of arrows (broad-heads).
The Hunting bow is totally bad ass. Nothing more rewarding than leaving a geared predator on the ground filled with arrows, but it is most effective with animals as it quickly becomes overmatched as you head up the firearms ladder.
IRL, one could take down a buck from 30-50 yards with a single arrow from a compound bow & less fatal hits can be achieved at up to 70-80 yards.
Not asking for it to be OP to the point of RL, but a small damage/range/speed boost would be appropriate.

All valid points but the main reason I want a lategame bow is that it would be pretty fucking cool
Better bows instead of better arrows would help alot on balancing bows/crosbows right now. They feel a little bit out of place right now. Sometimes you get arrowed to the chest with metal chestplate armor and still get arround 50+ hp damage when a shoot to the chest would do less than 20.
take a arrow on the knew and become a guard!
