Quick changes that can quickly make this game better

1. Do away from the post-apocalyptic theme, nobody feels like they are in one when we are immersed into the game world. The game has its own unique feeling and the post apocalyptic manifesto is only now a hindrance that will keep great features from being added to the game. The post-apocalyptic theme is going to nerf current pvp and create a system where it's not worth aqquiring advanced weapons because a naked will just swarm you with bows and arrows while one has to manually reload an assault weapon. Already bullets are not worth the effort to craft for many, the result of this is almost all servers are becoming hunting bow and pipe shotgun gang bang fests.
The post apocalyptic theme is eroding away at the creative potential of the game and community, under this theme all advanced technology would not make sense. The game doesn't logically make sense in the real world and that's the point, the focus of updates shouldn't be wether it looks good but if it's fun and immersive.
My solution is this, that the idea of Rust is that it's a sandbox survival with limitless possibilities, that the community has access to all aspects of developing the game as they wish, modders will have access to the entire game code, being able to create textures and objects and maps. The main map has been completely developed, every aspect of it is habitable, and from humble begginings your character will start as a caveman and have the potential to live in a modern world. In the later aspects of the game nations of players will arise, a local server will host 200 players with an average group size of 40, planes will be taken down by Anti Air guns, tanks will cover the landscape, and mass war will ensue, the endgame will be the nuclear bomb, which will require insane time to acquire. Those that have the determination and dedication to achieve this weapon will have the right to destroy themselves and the server.
Does this not sound fun? And if the above isn't for you than try a different modded server, perhaps you want to only play with civilian vehicles and no military vehicles. This game has a lot of potential, don't kill it and make all the guns ugly and all the buildings look rotten and rusty.
2. Order a staff member to get admins on all the official servers, they were created because the community was sick of hopping servers every 3 days. But we can't use them because they are filled with hackers and laggy 1 month old houses, just at least give admin to someone off your friends list garry. The hopping servers situation is getting really bad, the community is like an autistic herd of nomads and is constantly shifting servers for such a short period.
Your changes wont be listened. Why do u even try?
Bye.
bump
Don't bump this shit, please.
dindt you get VAC banned?
What do you think of my ideas?

Do you even play this game? On official servers unused structures decay after 48 hrs max. I've never been swarmed with arrows and pipe shotguns.
"All the guns ugly" -- we do have M4's and MP5's, you know....
Frankly I don't know how to respond to your post because I don't have a freakin' clue what you are talking about.
M4's and MP5's will be made hard to get if the game continues with the post-apocalyptic theme, the devs just havent "dealt" with them yet. We, the players are going to be left with hard to manage guns like the bolt action rifle and terrible iron sights like the revolver. Current gun mods like the Holo scope added to a revolver or a bolt action rifle dont even make sense in this "post-apocalyptic" world, but dont you like them? Dont you enjoy having the mp5 and m4?
Do you want the developers to ruin the PVP experience as we know it?

Quote from the latest devblog:
am probably alone here.. but I want you to sit in your home, manually dragging bullets into clips. Then when you’re in a battle situation, you’ll hold down reload and choose which clip you want to swap to.
This is the direction PVP is going, its not going to be fun, its going to be a pain in the ass and its going to be hard as hell to aim, the bolt action rifles aiming abilities is already an example of what its going to be like in the future if they continue updating the game like they hope to

Do you realize that official servers existed before community servers? And that they've basically never been actively admin'd?
Hackers on the official servers are not a particularly high priority. Fixing the hacks they use, sure, that's important, but the game's in alpha. It's at an early state, and it's not really intended to be a fun playable game over the long term at the moment. The official servers not wiping for long periods of time also allows the devs to gather a lot of data about longer-term server performance (compared to community servers that wipe every week).
The devs have better things to do with their time than apply trivially-evaded server bans on every hacker that comes by.

I feel like I'm immersed in a post apocalyptic game world when I play Rust. The mix of overgrown tall grass and ancient buildings w/ radiation makes me feel like I'm in time period possibly centuries after the end of a nuclear war. I think that part of Rust's unique brand is that post apocalyptic setting.
As far as the PVP experience, I think more added strategy is an absolute necessity as opposed to the current, "grind farm, build guns, shoot 'em up, win" dynamic players are currently faced with. The idea that you'd have to keep track of your bullet count would help balance gameplay between nakeds and Kevlar m4 wielding naked-hunters. (sure it's fun to have guns, but it's not fun to be on the other end of the barrel so often that you can't get a gun) I don't see this ending in kev's being spammed with arrows and immediately losing, I see it as people having to rely on skill and luck to win a fight, rather than just melting through enemies like a hot knife through warm butter because they got the military guns first.
Tanks and planes I disagree with, because they could just steamroll people's houses, or would we be getting rid of those too? If so, it would no longer be the game it currently is, and would basically basically BF4/COD.

I believe they'd have the bullets loaded into clips, so you could carry multiple clips with you and still reload quickly in a firefight, but you'd have to manually load the clips later on.
IMHO, Rust's direction is fantastic, but to each their own.

Why can't you stop getting VAC banned?
Real funny hearing you complain about hackers in the official servers. I don't care what game those VAC bans were incurred in (at least one is probably Rust).
And why do you like nazis and Stormfront so much?
Also, releasing the game's source code when it's like 11% done probably isn't a good idea, since it'd more than likely damage the playability to a ridiculous degree, and would be pointless to develop mods for at this time due to what stage of development it's in, and the massive changes the current source code faces.
Your all entitled to your ideas, and I think it's wise not to release the code now as hopping said. Please don't attempt to slander other people and dig up dirt about them. It's completely off topic and only serves to create a flame war atmosphere. If someone is unable to make a post on this forum without an elitist member trawling through internet history to dig up dirt on the OP because the community feels somehow offended by one person offering suggestions than this community is toxic.
This is going to be my last post on this thread and mods please do lock this, just look at it, the first reply was a guy that told me why do I even try and then shitposted again. I don't understand why your all so insanely critical and hurtful towards one another, you all act like it's cool to be this way and your more on your feet but take a look in the mirror.
Again my post is towards those that just shitposted and try to slander my credibility for whatever angry reason they have
If you want modern warfare, go play modern warfare.
Wouldn't that be great if the server was in this modern stages with airplanes and anti air missles, and I spawn in with a damn rock and 2 bandages? It's called balance. It already takes 2 hours for a group of players to build a base, get every gun they need and KOS new spawns for the lolz.
You are looking for a fps age of empire. 1 person won't live through 200 years of development in 2 hours.
I love the thought of your guns being ugly and the buildings being rusted. Hence the name of the game "Rust". I dont like your ideas cause I love games that make you feel hopeless and empty for example DayZ and STALKER which where completely formed around emptiness and depression. I say the less colorful the game the better.
are you actually serious? lol
