I have been playing Rust for the past week and I am highly impressed with what I see. The game idea is brilliant and works really well, it is amazing for an alpha.
This game has a great potential to become the number one zombie/survival game out there. If you have played Rust then you would know what I mean when I say....wow it really is amazing.
There is some things that could be put into the game that would make it a lot more realistic. Yes yes...People will say it is only alpha. I am aware, but it is our job as players on alpha to give the DEV team our ideas.
So here I go.
1. [I]Guns[/I] While it is nice to have a easy way to make guns; I think they are far to easy to get. I think in the future release guns should take much things to make, for example. Plastic, medium grade metal, oil, etc to make a pistol, or weapon. Yes it is nice to make a 9mm then go blasting around 30 metal fragments later...but I think it is far too easy. Guns should also be more simple looking. Here we are in a post apocalyptic land...Russia by the sounds of it and we are running around using American guns. I know these will not be the final guns...but still. Don't you think we should have more simple hand made looking guns? Such as a gun that you need: Gas canister, metal pieces, plastic...to make? The gun would shoot like pellets and be low damage.... The basic weapons would be a sling shot....Rubber and wood.... The bow can also look a bit more nicer....it isn't that hard to shape a bow. The cloth should be made into string...using a spin (you know the thing that makes thread) the wood can then be looked at and choose (bow) then add sting. Arrows are made by getting stones....you have to take the stones to work bench and shape them...you could also make metal arrow tips as well. You need to put feathers as well on the arrow shafts. Hell you could even have a RPG style weapon... A steel pipe, a bbq lighter, a spray can. and rocks.... You place the rocks into the pipe in a sealed area...spay gas into it and ignite and watch it blow out the end at enemies.... Just a few ideas that would kind of match this time zone the game is in.
2. [I]Transport[/I] No way on earth should they make cars that speed around the map. Horses yes. Hell even bears yes....bears that can fight other peoples bears....you would have to get food from farming (I will get to that later). You would need to make rope out of cloth which you get from getting hide or leather or fur from animals you have hunted. You make a lead and you tame the animal....bear or wolf eats meat (mainly rabbit I guess)...there is a chance they will attack you and kill you....or they will accept the food.
Horses can be tamed by other food types extra. You then can mount the animal and ride it. You have to feed the animal and water it. Bears and wolfs, or other animals can attack by clicking the left mouse button when mounted. You could chase down bambiis and maul them or have epic fights against other animal riders. Right click would pull out your current weapon and you could shoot or melee of the back.
3. [I]Houses[/I] Isn't it annoying when you make a nice house then you place a pillar in the wrong spot and your whole house is screwed? You should be able to get a undo option. You can undo up to 3 moves back. When you feel like moving your house...you can choose "salvage" salvaging would cost you half or more of the material. You would only get back a small amount but it would instantly dissemble your house or house part. Tents anyone? Tents could be made out of cloth....you could use them to replace shelters or basic shacks. A bed that actually works? You could sleep in your sleeping bag and you could recover your health quicker.
4. [I]Drinks and foods[/I] I think that you should have a thirst level... You get thirsty and need to drink...there should be rivers in the map and you can fill up your bottle or canteen with water. Cooking different meals would be cool too. Farming is a must in this game. Drugs? You could grow drugs that give you certain buffs....I do not know so much about drugs...maybe would give you a speed boost...would slow your bleeding, would make you take less damage for a certain time. Fishing please...and little boats please...not needed but would make fishing fun.
5. [I]Fists[/I] Fists would be good. Instead of hitting with a rock you could have hands only. You can punch people and it does half the damage of the rock. I would much rather punching.
6. [I]Locks on crates[/I] You can craft locks. You then make the lock. It is randomly made. You get a key and one key only. You can duplicate keys. You can also pick locks by making lock picks. This includes front doors.....etc.
7. [I]Signs[/I] I think it would be good to be able to make signs like on minecraft. You can place them on your door...maybe if you sell food? You can place them around your base warning people not to trespass...for example "KOS past this point". Many things you can do with signs.
8. [I]Characters[/I] I think girls should be able to choose a female model. Rather than stuck with running around with a penis and two balls visible. haha. Hair choice, eyes, nose, ears, lips, face, jaws, arms, tattoos, scars, etc etc.....full customization would be the best and would really make this game awesome.
9. [I]Clothes[/I] The choice to have clothes customization. You should be able to dye the color of your clothes to what ever color you like. You could also put your "clan" logo on on the back.
10. [I]CLANS[/I] Clans would be awesome...Yes I am pretty sure they will be making them. Clans....well well well. We would have clan roster....message of the day.....missions made by the officers or the boss.....etc etc... so much things you can do..... we could craft flags and design logos for our clan then and hang the flag on the base. If another clan defeats you...or you defeat them you can fly your flag in pride.
11. [I]Extras[/I] Handcuffs anyone? Keep that bambii down with the all new handcuffs. So he can't run away. Sidestepping. Slow that shit down.
Anything else you want to add peoples?
Feel free to comment and share your awesome ideas. I am sure I missed a few million ideas.
I just want this game to be the best...I am sure it will be with all us alpha testers.

Food and water? Like having to eat isn't enough already. If you want it to be that realistic they might as well add in a shitting and pissing meter. Adding in too many features will make the game tedious and unplayable.

LOL. Shitting and pissing would be funny. Imagine some guy is taking a shit at dusk and you bum rush him and he can't run. Yes I see what you mean. Water is a bit too much. Eating technically does give you liquids anyways.
