everytime i join a server on rust im in it got about 15 seconds then the computer resets any adivce on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated, oh ive also delted and reinstalled rust twice through steam
Overheating perhaps? Is Rust the only game that exhibits this behavior?
no not over heating but thanks for the input!
this happened to me a few times too and i thought it was overheating, what kind of mac do you have?
Well, i dont know if you can update drivers on a mac, but ide suggest doing that if possible. What are your computers specs?........ oh wait, its a mac. In all seriousness, what is the gpu in it
Or instead of being helpful we can post the hilarious and original, "Turn mac off, throw out window, buy a PC." or some other variation instead of being helpful. I run all my games on a Macbook Pro through OSX with 50+ frames even up to 100 with windows boot camped for Nether and DayZ. Problem that I had that was either disconnecting me, freezing the screen, or rebooting was because I wasn't using the better graphics card. I'm not sure if your mac came with one in addition to the, likely, HD Family graphics but if it did you can switch the graphics to always use that better card in the battery power options. Some macs will allow you to set a profile the card for certain programs to use that card. Mine doesn't. At these settings automatic graphics switching is enabled. I don't know the way it decides which card to use but it wasn't using my Nvidia card by default. If you disable that option it will use the better graphics card all the time.

In the top right corner of your screen, running OSX, you'll see the battery icon. You click that and select "Open Energy Saver Preferences". The first option should be Automatic graphics switching and you uncheck the box to disable that. I'm not so sure if you're running windows I'll have to check that out and let you know if I find anything.
The first step to fixing this problem is getting rid of your Mac.
^ so is getting this useless comment taken down [editline]9th April 2014[/editline] [QUOTE=reynolds232;44503983]Sure thing.
