• Owners Instantly Removing Misplaced Parts

I feel like when this gets implemented, they need to add a timer to the destruction(or replacement) of the object. I can see instantly destroying a part(e.x. a wall) being a big issue. When defending your base you could just destroy a wall, fire shots at the unsuspecting raider, and instantly replace the wall. You could also destroy a ceiling that someone is standing on and make them fall to their death too easily. While a lot of this would generate quite a few laughs, I could see it being misused way too easily. What are your thoughts on this? Would you consider the above examples being exploits? Should the timer be disregarded or implemented? I would love to hear everyone's opinion.
It takes a couple of hits to destroy it I believe, plus the wall may have the same health before it was taken down.
You think garry would not consider this??? I dont mind too much. It would just be one more reason to offline raid someone... Tho, might add sth like ceilings not being removable when enemy stands on them. What I DO mind tho is being able to replace walls in an instant after they have been c4'd which is already possible atm, with or without mods, and quite gay.
Being able to destroy your own objects without c4 won't be as easy as a /remove command (I hope).
I hope it will, because hitting something 2 times with a pickaxe is the dumbest and most annoying implementation of this mod. sometimes you place pillars etc way out of your melee range.. gl pickaxing that when you dont want it anymore -_-

The time sink when placing the wall will be "building" (whacking it with a construction hammer, like building in other games) it rather then taking 30 seconds to craft one.
that will be so annoying when you try to get your house up in a heated spot and you get constantly swarmed by freshspawns. this will make foundation/pillar griefing null, but people will just camp guys in small houses owning them when they try to put pillars and walls.
Well there would be a few options like: 1. Not building in a heated area 2. Building when most of the server is asleep 3. Building with friends or protection
actually nvm there will be insta-build servers anyway :v:

I personally think throwing up houses in 20 seconds with prebuilt walls you carry in your inventory is stupid and I am glad they are completely re-doing the building system.

you would have to make it open and in heated areas and enjoy watching the noobs fall into it :D i had a house once, it had an open doorway and a ramp in the room behind it, so i crouched inside and suddenly started losing health. smart fucker had spikes below the ramp that i didnt see haha.
Thwarted a raiding attempt doing this once. Guys were building up the side of my base with stairs so I removed a wall, replaced it with a window and capped their asses. Was pretty funny.

I've only played with the /remove that any item can remove (not just pick axe) , even a bow/gun. So shooting pillars works. Just 1 hit. Also, the item goes back into inventory as well.
Yes, I know ^^ thats the one most srvs use, was only referring to acekiller.
